Who The Hell is Domino? | Deadpool 2

In Deadpool 2, Domino joins Deadpool's new team, X-Force. Who is this "lucky" superhero? Dave tells you all about Domino's comic origins!

Deadpool 2 is introducing a new sidekick for the Merc with a Mouth and she's a force to be reckoned with--or an X-Force to be reckoned with, if you want to be witty about it. Zazie Beetz plays X-Force member Domino in the new Deadpool movie and brings with her the character's comic book history, dating back to 1991.

It was New Mutants, Vol. 1, #98 that saw the first appearance of Domino. Ironically enough, that issue was also Deadpool's debut in the Marvel universe. However, after helping Cable form the X-Force, it was revealed that she wasn't the real Domino at all, but rather a character called Copycat, who had been assuming Domino's identity. In reality, Domino was being held hostage by Deadpool and Tolliver. While chances are Deadpool 2 won't touch on the more disturbing aspects of their relationship, it will be interesting to see how the duo interact.

As for what she brings to the table in terms of powers, Domino is blessed with incredibly good luck. While that may not sound very impressive--or cinematic, if you're Deadpool--it serves her well in the comics and Deadpool 2, as she fortuitously slides through even the most dangerous and chaotic situations with little more than a scratch.

You'll get to know Domino well in the new movie, and as GameSpot's Deadpool 2 review points out, she's easily the most exciting part of the film. Before you head to the theater though, learn even more about her role in the comics better through the above video. Deadpool 2 is in theaters on May 18.
