haha, that was the real score :D
with players like oezil, mueller, schwienstieger, the great mroslav klose and the excellent neuer at the goal...it's the strongest line up in the tournament so far... netherland is a close second
Most boring sport ever.
Got on my authentic home USA Dempsey jersey. Can't wait for the game today! Looking for a win against Germany, will be happy with a draw. If USA loses I still feel like we're in a good spot to move on to the elimination round based on current goal difference.
IMO, this has been the most exciting USMNT team to go to the World Cup that I've seen. Last years team was good time. About time the US can start to compete.
@littlestreakier I do reckon that US has a bunch of tank players, but US play style is similar to Germany, the ground game, Germany is a specialist on ground pass, US needs to counter with high launch.
Yea the US is a countering team. Germany is stacked with great players though and the coach looks he did a good job getting them to play as a team.
Now that the game is over it's obvious Germany has a much better team than the US, with the 1-0 victory though I think the US did a good job at not letting it get out of hand.
Just happy to make it out of the group of death. Hopefully they'll keep it going in the elimination round.
@littlestreakier Watching the game I can say that US team has the four main problems:
1°They're bad at passing, actually look with their eyes to who they gonna pass, and if they don't watch, the who gonna receive the ball might miss the ball.
2°They lack sense of space, they hit themselves in the Air! They need a deeper sense of space, otherwise, they suck on passing and attacking.
3°The don't use the peripheral vision, to pass and kick properly you need a good use of peripheral vision, sense of space and good passing relies a lot on this.
4°Full Attacks and Full Defenses, not just US, Japan and South Korea also use of this, at least two players needs to be on the opposite field, reasons?
Too many players on one side only increases the chance of a Foul, even if they score a goal, if there's too much inside the field the arbiter might cancel the goal because of this.
I agree with all your observations. I respect Germany's soccer team, they're consistently a top contender in the world cup but this world cup specifically the team is just playing incredible soccer.
I'm just happy USA held on to a 1-0 loss. I wasn't sure if it was going to turn out like the Portugal game. I do think that USA has made real good improvements to their overall game. Hopefully they can continue to expand on it throughout the years.
@littlestreakier like that wasnt obvious before ... you must be out of your mind lol
@hitomo @littlestreakier Ha, nah I knew Germany was stacked before. They're playing incredible soccer right now. I'm just happy it wasn't a Portugal/Germany game all over again.
@Mr_Mark_Legion go home....
Anybody who thinks that USA will beat Germany will bedissapointed . The Panzers will destroy the US today
US will play Inglorious Bastards with Germany.
I want both teams to make it to the next round, so I'm hoping for a draw.
F U Ronaldo.
Ill be cheering on the US. No Englishman wants to see the Germans win
the game could be interesting - US Players are trained by a famous german nationalplayer.
Nobody wins. Soccer is sooo boring.
I'm from the US and if you're referring to the MLS...yes...MLS is fairly boring IMO. The World Cup however is a whole different animal. All of the best teams compete to win the championship in a two month span. Also, if you look at how many games each team plays it becomes even more involved because every game is critical. I mean...just to make it to the elimination round you have 3 games...
And elimination round speaks for itself...kind of like playoff NFL...
@spikepigeo Nice ignorant comment there, well done
Its not hand-egg carry ball.
@spikepigeo i dont want to say that soccer isn't boring, but WC games are not like normal soccer games. Btw i think all kind of sports are very lame to watch, watching games is more a social thing.
I would like to see another African nation in the round of 16 so sorry US I guess I'm a trader and I really don't give a f×$@.
What you trading?
We're gonna lose
@halo1399 Win lose or draw the odds are they will advance to the round of 16
@ztype85 @halo1399 Unless, Ghana beats Portugal with more goals favoring Ghana. The U.S. has a pretty good chance.
@halo1399 naw have faith we got this bro
I think Germany will win, but the USA will probably go through to the next round anyway.
All they need is a draw, or a draw between Portugal and Ghana. Or for Portugal to beat Ghana.
And even in the worst case scenario where Germany beats USA and Ghana beats Portugal, the US can still go through to the next round if they have a favorable goal difference.
Anyway, we shall see soon enough.
Cristian Watters abla muy bien en Español.
Germany looks so sexy!
USA! USA! USA! I believe that we will win!!
Stop pretending you like/understand/are interested in the coolest sport and Championship ever! haha!
@tane100 Well said.
@world4games @tane100 you always were a fan of ignorant comments.
You are ignorant ...
Well done, I see you still just call the other person what they called you.
"real football has real injuries...not a bunch of sissies faking it for a advantage....."
Your ignorant sissy comment.
You agreed to this OP...nuff said
@tane100 Sounds good! Maybe you could stop pretending to like/understand/be interested in Rock n Roll, Hollywood film, jazz, television, your PC, your video game console, your iPhone and the internet, (all US inventions) and we can call it even. The beautiful game belongs to everyone.
@tane100 you represent the rest of these tools posting on this topic. you do realize that the US is made up of nothing more than people of every nation who came here to settle. pathetic idiots always posting how the US doesn't know anything about soccer. It's growing here constantly, and I obviously know the US team has a long way to go... but don't try to laugh because some of us have been watching futbol (soccer) probably long than you've been alive. Funny how a lot of our players play in your leagues during the year. grow up and be happy the US has takin time to appreciate the greatest sport ever......pfft..
Low and Klinnsman have already shook hands and called it a day.
