Top New Games Coming Out On Switch, PS4, Xbox One, And PC This Week -- May 19-25 2019

This week you can hunt with Dauntless or become the hunted with Resident Evil HD, 4, and 0 on Nintendo Switch.

This week's episode of New Releases is all about the hunt with Dauntless--but you might also find yourself being hunted with Resident Evil HD, Resident Evil 4, and Resident Evil 0 making their debut on Nintendo Switch. Things are just as tense in the sci-fi thriller Observation and the historical strategy title Total War: Three Kingdoms. For a less intense, family-friendly time, you can also take a few laps with Team Sonic Racing.

Nintendo Switch is getting a trio of horrifying games this week. These three Resident Evil titles are all sold separately on the Eshop, but you can pick up Resident Evil 1 and 0 in the combined Origins Collection at retail. The original game stars Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine in the Spencer Mansion, 0 is a prequel featuring Rebecca Chambers and Billy Coen in an abandoned facility, and 4 sees Leon Kennedy searching for the president's daughter in Spain.

Dauntless is leaving beta for a full launch on PC, PS4, and Xbox One this week, while Switch and mobile versions are planned for a later date.

Observation is set on a space station where something went very wrong, and it's up to Dr. Emma Fisher to figure out what happened. But you don't play this sci-fi thriller as her; instead, you control SAM, the station's AI. You'll use a variety of tools to examine various chambers and open doors as you guide the doctor around.

The long-running strategy series is headed to China for the first time, where 12 different factions can battle for control. Victory is achieved by capturing a city or by slaying the opposing army's generals. It's not that simple, though, as the generals you choose create certain limitations for the types of troops you command during battle.

Believe it or not, there's still one more round of May games to talk about next week. The next episode of New Releases will tackle the PSVR shooter Blood & Truth and get a little sporty with Cricket 19.
