This God Of War PS4 Kratos Figure Is Cute As Hell - GameSpot Daily

A new Nendoroid figure for God of War's Kratos is available, while Nintendo Switch and Super Mario Odyssey sales numbers reach new heights.

God of War has been the center of a lot of PS4 owners' attention lately, and while the game is quite good, our eyes (and hearts) have been stolen by the latest Nendoroid from Good Smile Company. That's right, Dad Kratos is now available as a figure that's cute as hell. For those who don't know, Nendoroids are chibi-style figures that usually depict anime characters, but as of late, there have been more and more based on video games.

One of the latest Nendoroids to be revealed was The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's Geralt, which included a bath tub to recreate that steamy scene. There have also been Nendoroids based on The Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, and Metal Gear Solid. As for Kratos, he stands at about four-inches tall and comes with different facial expressions, the Leviathan Axe, and his trusty shield. This is the story that headlines today's episode of GameSpot Daily, but we've got a bunch of other news coming at you in 30 minutes or less.

In other news, Nintendo reported its earnings for the latest fiscal year, and thanks to the Switch, they were very strong. And to top that off, Nintendo predicts this fiscal year (April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019) will be even stronger. However, president Tatsumi Kimishima is retiring on June 28. Kimishima took over after Satoru Iwata's passing and will be replaced by Shuntaro Furukawa, who's been at Nintendo since 1994.

Fortnite Season 4 is on its way, with Epic Games teasing it in a new image. This picture depicts a superhero-looking character and was accompanied by the phrase, "Brace for impact!" which could be in reference to the game's meteor, which fans have speculated about for quite some time. We don't know much about Season 4, but Season 3 does end on May 4.

Remember Wallace & Gromit? Well, the studio behind the claymation duo is collaborating with Bandai Namco and DigixArt on a new, narrative-driven WWI game called 11-11: Memories Retold. Not much is known about the game, but we do know that it'll focus on storytelling and tone, as opposed to combat. It's also said to have a very painting-like artstyle, which seems to be exemplified in the reveal trailer. We discuss everything we know about it, and show off the trailer, in GameSpot Daily.

If you're looking for something to do this weekend, then you have a bunch of options. Three excellent shooters are free to play this weekend and discounted if you want to continue playing after the free-play period is up. Co-op bank-robbing simulator Payday 2, the tactically-demanding WWII shooter Day of Infamy, and the military sim Arma III are all free to play this weekend. We go through all of the details and sales in the video above.

The other thing you can do this weekend is play some of your old original Xbox games (or buy them digitally if you don't have any). 10 new original Xbox games are now playable on Xbox One--11 if you're in Europe. These include Destroy All Humans, Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction, and a bunch of Star Wars games including Knights of the Old Republic 2 and the original two Battlefront games. We run down the full list in today's episode.

And that's what you'll find in this episode, but be sure to tune in every day of the week at 11 AM PST/2 PM EST/7 PM BST/4 AM AEST for another episode of GameSpot Daily. We cover the most exciting gaming news in 30 minutes or less or that cute Kratos will sell out and we'll be sad forever.
