The Division 2's Best New Features

Here are the new features we're most excited about after The Division 2's beta.

The Division 2 is Ubisoft's next big open-world game, and it's almost here. With the game's March 15 release date approaching, you might be wondering what's new in the sequel.

In a new video feature, GameSpot's Jess McDonell covers some of the really interesting new features we discovered playing the recent beta. (If you didn't get the chance to try it, you'll have another opportunity with the just-confirmed open beta coming in March.) One thing you'll see and hear about in the video is the game's new Settlements. These are areas full of NPCs who need your help, and you can visit the Settlements to take on sidequests and earn blueprints for new items.

The video also covers The Division's new endgame content. The first title was criticised by for its lack of endgame content, and the sequel is said to be developed with an endgame-first mentality. In The Division 2, dedicated players will find new high-ranking specializations that include better weapons, along with "invaded" missions where players must take down the brutally difficult Black Tusk faction.

Be sure to watch the full video, as it also covers The Division 2's new setting in Washington D.C., as well as the efforts the game has gone to in regards to toning down the "sponginess" of enemies.

Let us know which of The Division 2's new features you're most excited about down in the comments and stay tuned to GameSpot for the rest of our coverage of The Division 2. The game launches on March 15 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
