@sebalayo: I agree. It looks nothing like this anymore: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trFAe0HZtDE

Coupled with them pulling the game from Steam to make it a EPIC exclusive, I have lost mostly all interest in it.

@sebalayo: Having played the games, I had no idea what I was watching with these GameSpot videos constantly switching between samey environments without any kind of visual aid for easier discrimination. It's pretty clear by the end when we're seeing Exodus, but you might not have watched that far. Mayhaps your disappointment stems from this?

That said, the game has indeed undergone a graphical downgrade, but nothing unreasonable considering the circumstances, Seba.

Oh yeah !!! Getting it for my Xbox One X. I am a PC gamer but I won't go anywhere near EPIC store. No thank you sir ! Will surely purchase for my X and enjoy it on my newly purchased 4K tv.

@starjay009: What’s wrong with Epic store? Near as I can tell, it’s just another launcher.

@Mogan: last time I checked it has very few payment methods accepted. Understandably, those few at least are easy to come by (usually in 1st world).

@Mogan: Isn't that Fortnite brooding ground? That seems pretty wrong to me, Mogan. Like suffocating an infant, but unatonable.

I'm not ready: Epic store has trouble accepting payments methods official in my country (like Pago Facil). Get your act togheter Epic, your store is ugly and also doesn't work well enough.

@gameroutlawzz: great taste man.

@santinegrete: The Metro games have always been average, Santi. However, with open world environments, progression components, and convoluted crafting systems, there's no indication that they're ever going to improve now. On account of their evolving sensibilities, they've become utterly assimilated into the canon of mediocrity, my friend.

@asnakeneverdies:

I just played through both 2033 and Last Light redux before the release of RE2 and while 2033 hasnt aged that well Last Light was great,challenging and intense I actually love the gameplay mechanics where you have to pump certain weapons to keep their optimal damage, recharge your flashlight and keep a look at your filters. While some aspects couldve been better like the use of the military grade ammos which consists as the ressource/money in this game most of which I never really had to spend at merchants since youre always full of everything even on hard (still doesnt make the game easy though some segments are really tough) so yeah, overall the games are pretty enjoyable and this one looked really promising so Im keeping an eye on this.

@gameroutlawzz: I don't see much promise on account of the developer's historical lack of commitment to the zeitgeist of the source. Dioramic setpieces, ternary behavioral awareness, sundered encounter design, and contextually sensitive digital interactions. The Metro series has always consisted of highly derivative first person shooters. None of these will age well, Outlaw.

@asnakeneverdies: I'm more into average unique games than the illusion of excellence that tries to be emulated so many times without really respecting the spirit of the visionary game that started it all. Because that excellence is very rare too, and even more when they don't try to recreate copycat products that try to cash on the trend.
