In Star Trek Discovery Season 3, Episode 9, we find out what is happening to Georgiou (Michelle Yeoh), as explained by Kovich (David Cronenberg). Culber asks Discovery's computer for help, and it finds a possible solution, which gives Georgiou a 5% chance of survival. Thanks to the Sphere data, they learn there's a possible cure for her on the planet Dannus V.
Vance (Oded Fehr) authorizes Discovery to jump to Dannus V, where they drop off Burnham and Georgiou to look for the cure. On the snowy planet, they discover a man called Carl and a mysterious door. Georgiou's only chance depends on going through it. Meanwhile, when Adira's algorithm to decode the distress signal from the origin of the Burn is completed, it leads to a message that may be of interest to Saru.
