--wow--watch nintendo conect the dead COMPLETELY unwanted past of video games---with a dead COMPLETELY unwanted present of games(being wiiU's dual screen controls)--lets be truthful--yea--this game isnt 'that bad' looking(7.4/10 territory)--but the genre and mechanics are DATED and UNWANTED--but that isnt the real problem--the problem is nintendo has already called wiiU out as dead hardware--so--i mean you got mario maker--a game that looks cool(but looks like a 15$ eshop game~vs a full AAA release)--and youve got this flop filler waste of time(starfox)--and i think that is it folks(well we are still waiting on XCX~but you know nintendo is gonna set it up again~so that one of their most potential filled titles gets ZERO attention)--wiiU is done

@TheZeroPercent: completely unwanted? People have been clamoring for a Star Fox game for ages.
how so? its an on-the-rails shooter. who said that all shooters need to be FPSs?? i like variety in my gaming. and SF is the best on-rails shooter franchise that ever was. and the game looks very reminiscent to the best in the franchise, not the recent games. youre just making shit up, lol.
@isturbo1984: --nintendo should understand by now--that wiiU's 2nd screen is POINTLESS--NOBODY wants to use it(AT ALL)--even nintendo has admitted defeat by grabbing wiiU by the forehead and slashing it's neck in cold blood--so--what does nintendo do?--they push the 2nd screen concept even further?--haha--on a franchise and genre that has been dead 20 years--using dead mechanics that go back to early 5th gen?--guess what isnt made up--EVERYTHING i just said
you just disregarded my entire post and didnt answer my question... just to rant about a second screen. i dont like the second screen either, but answer my question. why does every shooter have to the the FPS kind? how is a game like SF outdated and unwanted being the best in the rail shooter genre?
@isturbo1984: --wiiU's 2nd screen controls were supposed to be 'to nintendo'(and gaming)--what wii's motion controls were--true--most gamers picked up motion controls(bought a wii)--and then QUICKLY put them back down(compare 'play hours' on wii to those on 360 or ps3~it isn't even comparable~gamers logged more hours on 360 in 2014 alone than they did on wii for it's entire lifespan)--every shooter doesnt have to be the FPS kind--but gamers have spoken on wiiU--not only did they NOT buy it(not even to "play it just a LITTLE bit" ~like with wii)--they COMPLETELY sidestepped the entire idea--nintendo's dual screen 'capabilities' are OFFICIALLY a FAIL--it is OVER--even nintendo has said so(by removing MANY games from wiiu 's future~mainly zeldaU)--and they are already working on advertising their wiiU 'replacement'--ok so(just to let you know im dead serious~im not messing with you~im also not a anti-nintendo gamer~im more of a truth seeker and an unbiased gaming thrill seeker)--should starfox be more like say Destiny(FPS) or mass effect or warframe('on foot' rpg elements~like 2002's Starfox adventures)--but with a little more focus on the spaceship gameplay?(fight ships~land ships~fight on foot~rpg elements~home base~level building~online co-op and PVP)--doesnt that sound fun? haha(i mean imagine Destiny-esque(third or FPS) but you can fly the spaceships in battle also)--but wait--there is already a game 'like that' coming to our WONDERFUL 8th gen NEAR future--it is called No Man's Sky--so am i saying that nintendo should 'buy out' no man's sky(or rip it off a little)--and add the star fox characters in--yes(that would be EXACTLY what the F nintendo need to be trying to freaking do)--should the next zelda be more like witcher 3? OF COURSE IT SHOULD--is wooly yoshi and clay kirby cool?(with mario maker and such games?) YES--but--nintendo has MISSED THE MARK in 8th gen(with their home console games)--it is official--wiiu is dead(and it is COMPLETELY nintendo's fault)--tons of AMAZING AAA exclusives--but not even ONE 'console seller'--shizt happens(and that is wiiu's main problem~but it is COMPLETELY nintendo's fault~in the long run)
dude. im not reading all of that. youre being obnoxious. but i did see you mentioned Destiny, which is a fps... and No Mans Sky, which isnt a shooter at all. if you need to rant about nonesense to make your point, obviously your pint isnt all that great. i'm in the need of an on-rails shooter. and SF is the best in the biz when it comes to that. not all my shooters need to be the FPS variety. broaden your horizons.
@isturbo1984: --i write all of that JUST FOR YOU--and you dont even read it?--why dont you just leave me the F alone then--my god--why did you even reply?
@TheZeroPercent: NOW I know what 0% means, it means the percentage of your brain that you use!
We're gonna get along JUUSST fine :)

@TheZeroPercent: Oh this idiot again lol.
@TheZeroPercent: Xenoblade Chronicles X Special Edition just announced today and sold out. We also got Yoshi Woolly World and Mario Tennis Ultra Smash coming. Plus Fatal Frame 5, Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival, Rodea the Sky Solider, Guitar Hero Live, Minecraft Story Mode and many more. But dont let me stop your hate, hate on brother, its very entertaining.
@mesome713: --all those TERRIBLE games (that NOBODY is gonna buy)--AAA full price exclusives that wont sell even one extra console--on a console that nintendo themselves has denounced and cursed to the dead hardware grave?--what is your point?--are you like jesus on the cross here?(some kinda console supporting martyr?) --my nintendo my nintendo why hast thou forsaken me?
@TheZeroPercent: Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
@mesome713: --im not messing with you--im dead serious--look--i understand some people are nintendo fanboys--i believe in fanboyism--i dont expect every gamer to be a work in progress~evolving~unbiased masterpiece gamer(such as myself)--so--i will let you be(and i am fine understanding 'where' you stand)--but i must tell you--a fanboy is easily defined--a fanboy is a fan that can not handle the truth like a man--and--'denial'--is what keeps this poor sad soul from true gaming happiness
@mesome713: Dude 0% is totally effing with you.
@gwabashnuba: I know, i just wanted to have fun.
@mesome713: don't forget pokken tournament.
Day one purchase for me.
While I don't agree that this looks "terrible" at all - the gameplay is exactly what i've come to expect from a star fox game - The design looks an awful lot like SF64 and I mean that not in a good way. If Nintendo wants to exploit notalgia, they need to at least add something new to it.
@jpcc86: Not defending but even if it looks an awful lot like SF64, that game was released over a decade ago. So even if its more of the same that's not bad considering what a blast SF64 was. Its not like Nintendo is making Starfox to be released on an annual basis
@hiba_mario: go back play sf 64,and play this, you will see the difference
@jpcc86: Its got a new cockpit view and Gyro controls added. Plus new transformations.
@mesome713: yea, ok sure, but were you honestly impressed by that?
@justinka777: Im impressed by the scope of it all, going from the planets surface, the planets airspace, outerspace, and then inside gigantic spaceships outerspace. Its very diverse and seems like quite the adventure. Also the Gyro controls i cant wait to try, i love them in Splatoon. Cockpit view is another that interest me, im hoping it will help build immersion with the Gyro controls.
oh man this game looks awful
This isn't looking very good.
@doozie78: why to me look good, graphics look good too, and fun
Why does Nintendo adamantly refuse to change. They need to stop tweaking their old formulas, and just throw them out. On-rail shooters were downright impressive in the SNES days, but we're a little beyond that now. There's a reason they aren't made anymore. I can't imagine anyone could watch this gameplay demo and honestly say they were impressed with it.
@JW2252: Never played Kid Icarus Uprising have you? Its amazing. Its also implements very innovating gameplay mechanics into a on rail shooter.
this is just confusing me, it looks like starfox assault but with out all the cool stuff like ground combat and dogfights and switching between the two whenever you wanted on the same map. and even that wouldn't be so bad if the difficulty of the game didn't look like it practically plays its self.
@justinka777: All the things Star Fox assualt added (ground combat specifically) was a complete drag for me. Every time it kicked me out of the Arwing, I wanted nothing more than to be back in it.
@justinka777: The difficulty lies within scoring points. Its a game you replay over and over to get top scores. Or were you talking about something else?
@justinka777: it's a rail shooter. "it practically plays itself" because it's doing half the moving for you.
@BrunoBRS: I meant how he frequently ran into things and the health bar barely went down.
Looking good, pretty sweet to see the tank combat.
I really hate to say it as I have been super stoked for it... but this looks disappointingly boring.
