they need to chnage the gameplay it's to messy and if the graphics look like this (the way the chimera looked) then this is definitely Game of The Year

dont think it will take 2 years , theyre already working on it pretty long imo already , given they need as much time as for r2 after r1 launch it would be this year , hopefully we get a suprise this year , at least a beta version on psn

finally a trailer comes out even if it is a teaser. now at least we know their making it and can expect it in a year to 2 years time. I hope they add drivable vehicles like in the first or at least usable turrets so you dont need to always deal with the annoying helfire turrets.

From the looks of it i think you will probably be heading to new york in the game. Perhaps playing as multiple characters each trying to get to new york? I dunno, but it looks pretty sweet. And ya, Live action is still pretty good, its better then some gay teaser like MW2 did where all they did was a green line and have some sound.

People complain too much about live action trailers. If you were a game developer you wouldn't want to put out something that wasn't ready yet, but a live action trailer gives you the chance to debut the IDEA of your game before anything else is said about it. It's to get people talking, nothing more, nothing less. Looking forward to seeing more.

@OliBangs Seriously? Do you really expect to be playing a live action movie after seeing a live action trailer? This type of trailer is much more about setting a vibe and getting people excited than anything else- recall Neil Blomkamp's Halo 3 trailers, that were extremely epic and ended up helping us get District 9 made. They aren't trying to represent the gameplay, they are simply an alternate media representation of that game's world. This Resistance Trailer is very well done and I think Sony should be proud of it as an early trailer. If gameplay isn't ready to show yet and they didn't do something like this, we'd either get something that is full CGI or a black screen with a bunch of sound clips before the words "Resistance 3" fade in. I think this was MUCH more entertaining.

Is it me or are live action trailers just a distraction from the lack of info on a game.

This was very well done, but quite frankly I'm getting a bit tired of live action trailers.

Why are there idiots saying this looks like left 4 dead its just a live action teaser trailer morons. These characters may not even have anything to do with the game your judging a game based off actors and not the actual game or even game footage just cgi chimera with real actors. Idiots....

resistance was one of my favourite fps games i have ever played

Wow! It's looks better as a film or TV seires than a game. Resistance shipped with my PS3 and I really enjoyed it. I thought Resistance 2 however was disappointing. It felt too futuristic for the era it was set (the first still felt sort of WWII) and could have been set in the present and would have still played the same way. The AI was not very good and the whole game looked a little shiny, everything was plastic looking. I hope that the 3rd installment captures the charm of the 50's and 60's in the US and hope that Chimera are a more formidable foe. If they go donw the L4D route then I'm fine with that. A resistance movement is normally fronted by regular people or ex soldiers not the military so that would bring a more human feel to the battle. I'm still excited to see what becomes of Resistance 3. Fingers x'd it can blow away the cobweds of doubt that still linger in my bonce! Hahaha! :)

Wondering if we get to finally see a third party war like in the first one with some crazy cloven action be a nice touch throwing a crazy cloven monkey wrench into the chimera war machine.

@ Falmar Mate we do not know for sure he is dead!!! DOnt forget he has the abilty to regenerate.. ppl seem to have forgotten this! and who knows WHAT extra powers he got from Daedalus!!! Maybe Hale becomes the key to defeating the Chimera? I honestly dont believe for a second he is dead! but in what context he has in the story, I am dying to know! Im hoping for a human campaign AND and Chimeran one! To show they aint mindless monkeys!! No game in the next 12 months am I lookin forward to more!!
