Also, yeah it does look a lil CODish... could of sworn someone tagged me with a bullseye the other day in MW2.... then on my next life, they shot me thru the wall as I spawned with an augar!!!!!! These are standard issue weapons for current day soldiers.... end sarcasm
David Kaye (voice of Nathan Hale) looks to still be the 'voice' for the Humans in MP. SPOLIER IF YOU HAVENT BEATEN R2.... Hale may just make SOME sort of appearance!? Or does Kaye voice another character in the game? One of the best VA goin around, so the more he is in, the better!!!
Level design and lighting looks very solid & consistent. Lots of cool stuff going on in game. I'm deffo interested in this one but yeah, the first person shooter genre seems to be stuck in a rut over the last couple of years with one game looking very much like the last. This is basically Unreal Tournament with more bells and whistles tagged on.
This game looks totally amazing. I hope the controls are different from the 2nd one. Maybe like Call of Duty. The game map looks wicked. This game is one of the top 10 games of the year, I think. Would there be any other new aliens.
Some of the bonus' like homing bullets and (I think I saw it right) some sort of quick teleport to an enemy seem interesting and have the potential to break up the monotony of standard multi-player battle royale. I will definitely keep my eye on this game as the release date draws near.
@gungriffin there are no development tricks. First party devs are the only ones willing to risk time and resources on sony's side. And microsoft couldn't care less; if quality happens to slip through the business shuffle in how they shop for their games, great for you. Otherwise it's a hit miss as with any creative media. As for graphics, xbox can automatically upscale resolutions to 1080p, where as ps3 is more often in the 720p range. I think i shall close this needless paragraph response by saying: fucck microsoft
Well Visuals aside the gameplay looks even more boring then the last one, and they stole alot of ideas from halo with the Drop sheild, and the glop gun thing is a rip off from UT99, but I can't blame them for stealing from the best. sadly the animations look rough and the AA is so heavy it makes everything look plastic. I also question how the personal sehild things are ballanced in game because if they can be spammed like the last one the MP will suck hard. Sony needs to share their development tricks with third party developers so all games look this good then we would have no debates, and everybody would including me have a PS3......... Instead of an Xbox360. I don't like how low detail their effcts are getting in their games though. They look soft and undetailed when U compair them to Xbox360 exclusives like Halo Reach, Gears of War 3, and even Fable 3 have higher rez effects, with more performance then these PS3 titles...... Sigh....... PS3 can do chars and models, and even game worlds, and lighting perfectly, but high detail effects and lazers seem to need too be turned way down for performance reasons.........
it looks better than r2's competitive multiplayer which was fun but it did kinda suck and since they got rid of 8player co op which was ruined by all the gronks that played it, they are able to focus more on the multiplayer
@jasonzilla11 its idiotic to say something like that when the game is coming out in September, thats alot of months from now and these videos are only to give you a basic idea of the gameplay not a full reveal as alot of the FPS makers are in constant competition to outdo each other. Unfortunately Call of Duty despite being really nothing more than a 2002 3d engine technology based video game, it has been given a free pass by the western game media and by most videogame fans who have embraced its not really realistic at all gameplay and graphics, whats that you can survive a grenade blast by simply regenerating health??? Its no surprise similart features are going to be copied just like Call of Duty devs are copying off features from Resistance FOM and Killzone 2 and eventually K3 and R3. Resistance 2 got stuck in the game devs trying to give more to the online gamer only to meet with alot of critcism based on the features being overwhelming and the socalled critics wanting more basic gameplay, its sad and it holds tech back when in 10 whole years the most number of online players is still 16 instead of 64 or more, just look at PS3s MAG game it handles 256player online yet a bunch of wussies are afraid to buy and log on because they know its going to not be the same as a 6 on 6 match in CoD, these same chumps will likely get drafted and complain that there are too many enemy soldiers coming at them and will likely complain to goverments to issue 12 soldier matches....
looks ok, but i'll still stick with Killzone 3. it just doesn't seem alot of fun, but thats just my opinion, but it also seems like it copied some things from call of duty (killstreaks, rewards appearing at top of screen)
It's hilarious that people don't actually no the difference between AI and actual people controlling it.. Haha. I've never even used this phrase before but here goes... Lol.
You guus do realise this is a multiplayer video don't you? The AI controlling these characters are real people playing MP together. Don't you see the tags above their heads when aimed at?
Really like the new look of the guns specially the Bullseye and I'm more than glad they did away with the "orbs" and got nice thin laserbeams . At least I think they did?
I hope this is a demo of the levels and not the AI, the levels and everything look awesome but some of those opponent reactions look either nerfed for demo or work in progress. I cant wait to see more on how this progresses :)
Nice, looks like a few multiplayer elements have been taken from Crysis 2. Resistance 3 will naturally be better though based on the original Crysis which only really had standout graphics, the gameplay was hit and miss. I loved the first 2 Resistance's but I always felt Resistance 2s multiplayer was missing something especially as far as the large games went. I have to be honest though I can't see this topping Killzone 3.
@Khimeron13 i have played a resistance game both the first and the second but ur right it is fastpaced but just maybe reducing the players in multiplayer can have some efects
im sorry but both games were terriable wen i played them i was expecting so much more from a playstation exsclusive and this one does look like an improvement (just like number two was an improvement apart from getting rid of coop multiplayer in the story) but it seesm so behind compared to other shooters
