Rebuilding Bioshock's Past with Irrational Games

Yes I'm necroing but I find it kind of annoying that when they did this video, they utterly ignored BioShock 2 or referring to it just because Irrational didn't make it. Infinite actually took heavy elements from and inspiration from BS2. The entire asylum area, those assets heavily mirror and almost look directly from the infirmary of BioShock 2. Not to mention that a lot of these areas in Rapture in Burial at Sea harken back to the section of BioShock 2 where you controlled a little sister.

if it's longer than 4 hours then i'd be surprised, however i'm excited to experience Rapture in it's best days for the first time. Bioshock 1 was great but there were so many times where I was wondering what certain places were like before the fall of Rapture..now we get to see!

I wish 'Irrational' would do SWAT 5...

Looks great. Irrational, please ignore the hair-splitting, self-entitled haters clogging the comments. The 'Shock universe is great and thank you for providing something fresh and imaginative to offset the latest Call of Battlefield clone churned out month after month.

Not to scrutinize them unjustly, BUT, everything they say makes it sounds like any amount of work they put in is actually above and beyond the expected standard....talking about revisiting rapture and having to create new assets and etc.....no shit, that's why you expect some money in return, because you're giving us something new or fresh. "challenge this" "challenge that", maybe it's their vocabulary, but I remember even with BioINF they had to announce that they were going to include common pc features in the game like FOV and shite.....I really want to see them go above and beyond their standards, but it always feels like they build on our excitement more than on the delivery of the game.

Rapture pre-chaos seems to be as "dead" as Columbia, with NCPs standing around looking at things in the distance, arms transfixed in awkward positions, or caught in a loop, saying and doing things one thousand times over and over again.

This is not something that is "alive".

The original "Bioshock" felt alive with the mad people around, this new take is just like walking into a museum and looking at things.

Also, I am not really comfortable with the sexual tension between Booker and Elizabeth, what is the story behind it?

Can we play it yet.

Looking forward to this. It's nice to see attention to detail and careful consideration still made in developing a game.

Though I don't know what meaning the name "Burial at Sea" has for the DLC, at the present time, it holds a different meaning for me: death, as in, killing the entire feel of the series for me.

I couldn't play "BioShock" the same way now, because I feel they've messed with something that shouldn't have been messed with.

But, it's theirs to mess with...

This looks like a really inspired, creative, and fun thought project for the developers at Irrational Games. They seem to have put a lot of passion and creativity into Burial at Sea and found new inspiration by revisiting their original success; hopefully this will be reflected in the finished product.

Awesome stuff. Looking forward to the DLC. But why are all the people working on the game look like they're 17 years old? Lol.

Looks boring like the another games of the series. I don't know what people want to play this with Battlefield 4 in the market right now.

I'm intrigued by this DLC. I just really hope the story telling is more a part of the gameplay than Infinite. If there is some real investigation as part of the gameplay that would be good, but if it's simply killing stuff then I'm sure I'll lose interest quickly. There's no point in going into a city that feels "alive" if your only aim is to make everything dead.
