Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Para Bellum Release Date And Details - GameSpot Daily

Ubisoft showed what Operation Para Bellum is bringing to Rainbow Six Siege on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, while Resident Evil 7 is coming Nintendo Switch in Japan.

The next major update for Rainbow Six Siege is Operation Para Bellum, which brings new Operators, a new map, and some balance changes to Ubisoft's tactical team shooter. Operation Para Bellum goes live on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in June, but PC players can jump into the action on the Test Server a bit earlier, starting Tuesday, May 22.

As for content, the pair of new Operators are both Defenders. Alibi can create holographic duplicates of herself, while Maestro can deploy bulletproof turrets. They'll do battle on the new map Villa, which looks like the perfect Italian vacation destination. Operation Para Bellum also brings some balance tweaks to current Operators, reworks some existing maps, and adds a new Pick and Ban system.

Moving from Italy to Japan, Capcom is releasing a "Cloud Version" of Resident Evil 7 on Nintendo Switch. It only takes up 45 MB of space, but you'll have to be connected to the internet at all times to actually play it. This version packs in the base game, Banned Footage 1 and 2, and End of Zoe, but does not include the more recent Not A Hero DLC. Capcom hasn't said if it'll be releasing outside of Japan.

Meanwhile, Bethesda's Pete Hines says his company's E3 press conference won't be very long. When asked by a fan on Twitter about the duration, he jokingly answered, "I assure you it won’t be three hours long." As for what the press conference will include, the only confirmed game at this time is Rage 2. We'll learn more when the briefing kicks off on Sunday, June 10 at 6:30 PM PT / 9:30 PM ET (June 11 at 2: 30 AM BST / 11:30 AM AEST).

Lastly, Pokemon Go will be getting some new variants over the next few weeks, as the Alola forms of Kanto Region Pokemon are being added to the mobile game. The teaser image shows a lineup of silhouetted Pokemon, but it's not hard to make out a few classics like Exeggutor, Rattata, and Raichu.

And that's what you'll find in this episode, but be sure to tune in every day of the week at 11 AM PST/2 PM EST/7 PM BST/4 AM AEST for another episode of GameSpot Daily. We cover the most exciting gaming news in 30 minutes or less.
