Today's PS5 showcase had a lot to offer, and finally revealed the next-gen console's date and price. PlayStation 5 is launching in November. There is a standard console, as well as an all-digital version with no disc drive. We also learned about the PlayStation Plus Collection, available on day one, which features a list of popular PS4 games God of War, Persona 5, Days Gone, Until Dawn, and more.
The PS5 event opened with a trailer for Final Fantasy 16, which featured a lot of combat. FF XVI will be a PS5 console exclusive, coming in 2021. We learned about an upcoming God of War sequel as well.
PS5 wasn’t the only event today - there was also the 2020 Facebook Connect event, which included some big announcements for the Oculus VR headset. The Oculus Quest 2 releases in October. Ubisoft announced Assassin's Creed and Splinter Cell VR games for the Oculus Quest 2.
