Preacher Season 3 Episode 7 "Hilter" Breakdown!

Hitler's back, Herr Starr and The Grail return to Angelville, Tulip and Featherstone are forced to play nice, while Cassidy and Eccarius form a vampire bromance. Ryan and Gaj break down Episode 7 "Hitler" from Season 3 of Preacher.

This week's episodes of Preacher titled, "Hilter", set up some serious impending drama, and gave us an update on some characters we haven't seen in a while.

It opened with an update on Hitler who we haven't seen in a while. He was working in a sandwich shop and despite his storyline last season which portrayed him as an oddly sympathetic character who had learned from his mistakes, it became very clear that he was still the cruel man we know. The Saint of Killers mercifully came along to bring him back to Hell, sparring it from Hitler's evil notions.

This episode spent a lot of time on Cassidy and Eccarius in New Orleans. At first, it seemed like business as usual, turning vampires and hitting the town, but it was revealed that Eccarius doesn't turn people to make the world safer for vampires, he does it so he can eat them and expand his own powers. Cassidy doesn't know this yet, and develops romantic feelings for Eccarius; they even end up hooking up in the episode after an encounter with the grail who Cass now knows is after him.

Back in Angelville, the Grail has arrived to make a deal with grandma and set up a plan to get her souls and make Jesse the new messiah. Tulip, Jody, and Featherstone set off on a plane to Osaka, on a mission to break into a warehouse containing millions of souls. The episode ends with Herr Starr arriving at the grail headquarters under the pretense of delivering Jesse to the Allfather, when in reality, he intends for Jesse to kill the Allfather.
