Still no review. Really?
Never even heard of this game thank you gamespot for this video.
instabuy, had it been coop multi, but no...no repeat of all the wonderful time i had in baldursgate, icewind, and neverwinter
kicking ass through at ~20hrs and loving it.
if it had less blurry textures and more vivid color i would definitely give it a 10, but gets a 9 and is still the best game i've played in at least a few years.
ALL HAIL DOUG THE CHANTER!!!
The best RPG in years, and one of the few Kickstarter projects worth a damn. Got this on GOG, worth every penny.
If the review is anything less than a 9/10 there will be riots. Everyone else is rightfully praising this game.
Great character creation. Too bad it's not turn-based. Mary & Chris are having fun out there and they do it with style !
Game of the decade
I made a boar form druid and it's ridiculously OP the first few hours into the game. You 2 hit anyone and have good enough armor. The first enemies that gave me trouble where the ones without physical form.
I'm really curious about the cypher tough, still didn't find a npc of that class and raw damage sounds sweet.
At least they seem to be taking their fime with the review, A lot of reviews were based on the first 40 hours only. That's not to say it doesn't deserve every bit of praise It can get. but spending more time with it is always worth it :)
@TheGreatPhoenix: Sounds like those reviews are almost as useful as day one user reviews.
No reviews from gamespot yet? Most give it 9 out of 10.
finally some good games
i was starting to lose hope
Really enjoying the game so far. I love the heavy implementation of flavorful and descriptive text rather than cut and paste cinematics. Not that I can't enjoy flashy scenes, but with the choose-your-own-adventure style of some of the skill based text challenges, there is a nice throwback to the days of using your imagination in a D&D campaign that engages me in the game all the more. As a gamer and a reader of fantasy, it's been everything I'd want in a game so far, hope others enjoy just as much! :D
Its not bad game so far if a bit repetitive and bleak looking, hope it gets more exciting later one. Item system is not to much to my liking but eh, not a big deal. Game does bombard you with too many skills with new companions so a lot of reading and absorbing is required.
@Godlikan: Some call it "complexity"... ;)
I want to buy it, but it's Obsidian, I have zero trust in their games. I'll wait for the reviews and such.
@ahpuck: The game is awesome, I completely enjoyed playing about 16 hours in until I ran into a game breaking bug. A quick search and it is immediately apparent that this bug is very common and apparently it was reported in beta and still not fixed for release. Screw you Bethesda and Obsidian for releasing awesome games that aren't even F%#*ing finished!!! This sort of major oversight is inexcusable.
Good call on playing the waiting game, I'd say give it at least a few months to a year until it is in actual full release shape, then grab it on a sale, save yourself a few bucks and maybe.... just maybe you'll be able to play through without having your fun ruined.
Sh!t Fallout NV has been out for 5 years and still isn't stable.

@Wesleypipes77@ahpuck: How am I not surprised? Obsidian are not know for quality control. I'll just sit and wait.
It's a great game, those guys have troble with modern engines, I agree, but here they are at their turf and the game is a blast.
@ahpuck: you can already check metacritic, it has an avarage of 93 from plenty of reviewers, and there are plenty of reviews out there already on sites who actually give a damn towards PC. Here you got to have 2 guys talking to you about what they saw in the first few minutes of the game, while there's plenty of time to make 100s of articles about Bloodborn, fanboyism towards the game, and more shameless promoting/advertising articles about the game.
@Damazig@ahpuck: Funny how you're the one bringing a game you don't want to hear about, in an article about a game that has nothing to do with that one game you want people to stop talking about.
As much as I want this bloodborne is fantastic Imo it has exceeded the hype
@ahpuck: :D why dont you have trust in obsidian :O??
@balthrus@lordshifu@ahpuck: Yes, Obsidian and bugs go hand in hand. It's been like that forever. Not just bug, bad, bad bugs.
Started as monk. Killing everything with my bare hands. 10/10.
me too hahaha i got the flaming fist thing i like wen a fight start my fist flame up....come here u damn bear who kicked my ass at first
Got flaming fist too. It's awesome how you lit your fists at the beginning of every battle!
@Pelezinho777: you got fiesty there son :P
Between this and Swoard Coast Legends witch looks to me to be even better, PC rpgamers are in for a great year.
@Damazig: sword coast has cooler graphics compared to this game :) If only the graphics of this game was like divinity original sin.... man i would have been so sold.... but now i feel like holding back.... not totally up for buying it
yeah the graphics actually puts u in nostalgia heaven
@lordshifu@Damazig: If graphics hold you off from buying a game you should probably quite gaming altogether. No, seriously, there couldn't be a less important thing in games of that kind than graphics...
I have just bought a gtx 970 so I need games that make use of it
@daz10x: Hm, aren't games supposed to make fun? I have a GTX 970 as well and it doesn't hold me off from playing Pillars. There will come graphical intensive games soon enough, Witcher 3 for example. One game at a time, your new card won't be wasted, I promise... ;)
You are sooooo wrong, my friend. This game is beautiful, one of the best looking ever.
@Pelezinho777: maybe i got 'em flies in my eyes :O but man divinity original sin was THE! game for me..... with humor, graphics and everything... i am still heavily under its spell :D ... will take some time for me to harbor feelings for the game... let the some excellent reviews drop in from kevin i will prolly be sold by then ....
@lordshifu@Pelezinho777: I am enjoying POE way more than I enjoyed D-OS. The world feels more real and alive. D-OS felt like the world just existed to move the story forward, the combat system was good, but it just got silly. I mean, how many exploding barrels do people carry around with them anyway? And the story was just okay. POE is much better at conveying the feeling of exploring another world and the story is very good so far. You have many different choices you can make that affect the world around you even more than the old infinity engine games. If you like D-OS, pick up POE.
@lordshifu@Pelezinho777: check metacritic for all the reviews, its above 90 avarage, right up there with all the praised Bloodborn reviews atm.
