Sure would be nice if I could hear the game, quit yer damn yapping
This first real Direct X 12 that is going to utilize all the features such as a 20% increase in power base on smart coding. This game it going to kick.... Awesome.
so how does this work...i heard if you buy xbox one version you get code for pc.....that would be great i would just trade in my xbox version after i play pc... will that work on this single player game....any luck with doing this?
@jerger_gs: You only get the PC version if you buy digital. Nice little Catch-22 M$ fails to always mention.

@Utnayan: It's ok...that is what Sony and MS like to do. It's all a part of marketing.

Amazing game looks amazing.
f#** this game/tv show s***
I think Braid will have bigger score than this Kappa
I'm glad they dedicated this game 100% to story mode. I'm more of a single player gamer and its good to know we're gonna have some quality in this aspect, especially in times like these where multiplayer mode is almost a must for a game to feature.
the shooting feels floaty compared to the division? does that mean the division does a better job at shooting mechanics? i didn't understand that part
@Fia1: Considering the controls of Division are God Awful, that says something.
Looks good, but the lack of proper reload animations is odd, especially concerning the budget behind the title and the pedigree of Remedy. I mean, the character just wiggles his arms around, and the gun magically reloads without any magazine being visually switched. Like in old third person shooters, basically.
@Fandango_Letho: And that is your biggest concern? Reload animation?
@Pedro: When 80% of your game consists of shooting dudes in a third-person perspective, then you better make sure that this aspect of the game is more than excellent if you want to keep the player involved. And this level of detail is something I've learned to appreciate when playing third person shooters.
@Fandango_Letho: Need a doctor?
Looks pretty good
Looks interesting. I'll pick it up on PC, eventually..
So it's basically Xbox's Order 1886, but at lower resolution and a low rate TV show that you buy but don't actually own. Sweet!
@hoyholyhoy: Just like the Order... Except this game won't suck.
@stickybun: So you've beaten this game?
@hoyholyhoy: It's Remedy. There is a track record attached to certain developers. I haven't played it but journalists have been positive of what they've played so far. Unlike the Order that was pretty much panned from the first time journalists had played it... and through development it actually got worse.
@hoyholyhoy: awww jealous?
@peterhorner1867: What would I be jealous of? I own an Xbox, this looks terrible, boooohooooo an opinion. Have fun with it, I really don't care :)
@hoyholyhoy: how on earth does this look terrible? U must have some God awful sight. It looks stunning. If they had said, here's quantum break running in native 1080p theres no chance you would have said 'hang on, that's not 1080p'. Your opinion is purely based on the fact that a bunch of tech nerds at DF have told u it's 720.
@peterhorner1867: It looks terrible because the gunplay looks clunky with heavy aim assist, it'll likely be less than 10 hours not including the way too drawn out B-grade TV show cutscenes they wasted development costs on instead of making, I dunno, more game. The resolution is the least of my concern but great inaccurate assumption. Graphically it looks nowhere near as good as at least a dozen games I could name off the top of my head, even at 720, 1080, 4K, the best thing it has in the graphics department is facial detail. It looks terrible because it's an unoriginal concept (guy has time powers, fights tyrannical private army or some blah blah) Just another gimmicky cover shooter, move along.
"Oh but you like Order 1886, your opinion doesn't matter" I never mentioned I like 1886, but it sure looks visually a hell of a lot better than this, regardless of resolution.
@hoyholyhoy: There is clearly alot more action and fighting (and fighting is much complex with this time options than just firing a gun) than in the order. Looks like non-stop schooting, fastpaced game while the order is about walking, walking, walking some more, looking at some things without a reason, opening empty drawers and schooting sometimes.
@xbox360kb: but honestly the 20 minute "tv show" segments of the game are a bit overkill, i feel a lot of people are going to bash it "we want to play a game not watch a live tv show"
@Fia1: long cinematic cutscenes are terrible aren't they. I mean, come on, look what it did to the MGS games. They're terrible aren't they.....oh wait, no, they're brilliant arent they
@peterhorner1867: Are you seriously comparing a masterpiece series that's been around for decades to this mediocre linear cover shooter?
@Fia1: The TV show is completely optional
@MrFreehuggs: the thing is part of the cost development for this game went for the tv show, and this game went heavily for a story approach, so skipping this cutscenes won't be a good idea because you will lose a lot of general things in the story, you need to sit there and take it, or you are probably going to end up confused or with weak characters, seeing as most likely the story is 60% of the game, you need to watch it if you want the full experience
Ehh Idunno man the gimmickyness of the tie in tv show just kinda kills it for me. Just let the game be its own thing.
Looks pretty good. I wonder when the TV show will be coming on and will it just be show on the XB1 or on regular TV.
I got very irritated by Danny playing like an amateur buffoon running around trying to find the right door or pronouncing it incorrectly or generally being very amateurish in his gameplay spraying the gun around and hitting everything but the target. I actually stopped watching and skipped it forward and it was the same thing everywhere I skipped..
Game does look like fun albeit the controls looked "loose" ? Or maybe because of how amateurish the player was. Worth checking the game out and probably a worth buy
@fanirama: Someone had their haterade this morning!
This looks pretty cool. I'll buy it on PC if they sort out their Windows 10 Store issues. If I can make use of both of my video cards & my 165Hz G-Sync monitor, I'll be happy. If there are artificial reasons forcing V-Sync or non-exclusive fullscreen, I'm out.

Looks really good. Impressive how the limited X1 hardware is able to handle such game!
@FBohler: I agree. With the PS4 and the X1 so underpowered, I am amazed but what they are pushing out.
@FBohler: maybe it's not as limited as people think it is
Any console has limited power. Its up to the developer to optimize it for their game. Often times its the first party exclusive games that look the best for that reason.
Is there ballance between gameplay and cutscenes in the game apart from tv episodes?
In other words is there going to be satisfying amount of gameplay in the game?
@mahyar-marston: It's probably like the previous Remedy games. That said... 20 plus minutes of video? Jeez. I hope it's interesting. Remedy has done great jobs on story with Alan Wake and Max Payne.
Just worried how long it will last.
Here is a quote from Eurogamer who is highlighting their real time experience: "Eurogamer: “More open locations combined with continued use of advanced effects work can impact performance to a certain extent. Tearing and frame-rate drops result in judder and reduced controller response here, with this having a knock-on effect to gameplay. Performance suffers just as we take aim at surrounding enemies, and the variable levels of latency and visible stutter make it harder to take accurate shots. Once the engine catches its breath and frame rates stabilize these issues are fully resolved.”
Why is it like this? The Xbox One. So yes, Support Remedy. Buy it on PC and just hope they didn't have to downsize it for Microsoft on purpose for their garbage console.
This looks like an excellent game, I can't wait to play it/
