What's up with the limited color palette?

I'm not against playing games outside, but why did they decide to shoot the scenes in like the most beautiful places they could find with like tons of crap going on around them, and the people just want to play their switch. Literally a dude is in outer space. Why not just show like normal parks or neighborhoods.

Nintendo "Switch" Lite

They removed so many features and yet only managed to drop the price by $100. That baffles me.

It's not the Nintendo Switch Lite, it's the Nintendo Switch LITE!

"It won't connect to a TV"
... Are you serious???
It wont do the single most important thing a Switch does?
Why are you the way you are Nintendo!?

@skyhighgam3r: it's an alternative. A normal switch is still available. This is for the portable gamer only obviously.. the 3ds (while still selling well) is ramping down. This is great way to support both of thier main demographics with one library. If it's not for you....... buy the og

@mistertech: "If it's not for you....... buy the og" I'm so sick of this notion. Like I have no business even having an opinion about buying the new model. wtf is that nonsense?

I already have the regular model. I was looking forward to replacing the current model with this mini one. Built in joycons, a real d-pad, and BEST of all finally small enough that it doesn't require you bring a backpack or something with you.

The absolute best thing about the switch is that it works like a normal console, but you get the 'option' to take it with you. Dropping the TV-out completely kills that. It's no longer a hybrid system. You HAVE to play it in handheld mode. The entire point of "The Switch" is that you can 'switch' between console and handheld play. That's the whole gimmick. It would be like dropping motion controls from the Wii.

Whoopdie-doo for folks who only care about handheld mode. Just because they enjoy it doesn't mean I'm gonna think dropping the TV-Out is any less stupid of a decision. I don't care about them or what they want, I care that I was looking forward to upgrading my hardware for like a year and Nintendo pulls this back-asswards nonsense move on us.

Maybe you disagree, that's fine, I don't really care - but it doesn't make my perfectly logical conclusion/opinion on the hardware any less valid.

@skyhighgam3r: I mean.... it's an option... if you dont like it dont buy it.... there isnt the right replacement for you atm... be patient. Your opinion is your opinion... however you initially reacting the way you did prompted my response. If this was never released your world wouldnt have changed... so... continue as such

"MSRP: $149.99"

@mistertech: I'm not going to buy it - that's the point. That's why I'm upset, because I was planning on buying it before they dropped this bomb. Why is this so hard for you to grasp?

Avatar image for mistertech

@skyhighgam3r: why are you crying because a product that wasnt for you doesnt interest you. You were blindly going to buy it without knowing what it was.... then when you gained knowledge you cried on here about...again.. a product that's not for you. That's like me saying "oh man this hypothetical project I'm hearing is being worked on is going to be sweet because I assume things" then when it comes out it's not what I thought then complain. It would be my fault for getting my hopes up before I took the time to learn facts

@mistertech: Yeah, wild assumptions like the new Switch could actually... you know... "switch" God what was I even thinking? And who am I to post my opinion on a story IN THE COMMENTS SECTION?

JFC dude, really?

@skyhighgam3r: hey man. I was having a conversation. You are getting all worked up. Guess what? You have a switch... wont be buying this item... nothing has changed. Enjoy your games. Have a good one "dude".

@mistertech: actually its stupid. Portable games dont belong on tv, and vice versa.

@iloveqwop: tell that to the 35 million that own a switch....

@mistertech: It's not even all that portable, though. You'll still need to put it in a bag; if you try to stick it in your pocket, chances are you'll scratch the screen and damage the analogs.

@Mraou: 100% not for me I agree. But nintendo loves thier accessories. I'm sure they will have some new stuff coming out to accommodate
