Nintendo Pulls Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp and Fire Emblem Heroes from Belgium - GS News Update

Due to Belgium's legislation over loot boxes, Nintendo will be pulling Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp and Fire Emblem Heroes on August 27.

Nintendo will be shutting down Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp and Fire Emblem Heroes in Belgium on August 27. This is due to the Belgian government's stance on loot boxes. Nintendo of Belgium has stated, "Future Nintendo games with similar earnings models will no longer be released in Belgium." Nintendo joins various companies who have removed loot boxes from their games in the country. Valve, Blizzard, Psyonix, and Square Enix have all removed the ability to purchase loot boxes in some titles.
