Netflix: The Best New Movies & TV Shows Streaming In November 2018

Here's all the shows, originals, and films that are coming to the streaming platform in November, and our top recommendations, including F is for Family Season 3, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.

We're now nearing the end of the month, and that means a whole bunch of new movies, TV series, and originals are now available or coming to Netflix in November. And like every month, there is a plethora of new content to choose from, and at times, it can be tough to pick out what's worth watching. Don't worry, we have you covered with a few solid selections for you to check out, and there's plenty more just around the corner for December.

As of November 16, the Coen Brothers have brought their unique voice to Netflix with The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. In this anthology series, the Coen Brothers tell six different stories which all take place in the Old West. There are some familiar faces in each of these stories, including James Franco, Liam Neeson, and Clancy Brown.

If you're a fan of the classic works of iconic writer/director Orson Welles, then you'll be excited to learn that one of his later films, The Other Side of the Wind, has finally been completed, and it's now available on Netflix as of November 2. Much like most of Welles' later films, it's a bit surreal and experimental. The movie centers around a Hollywood director who comes out of exile to work on an innovative new motion picture.

Finally, a little bit of the Christmas spirit came to Netflix with the November 22 release of The Christmas Chronicles. Kurt Russell stars as Santa Claus, who finds two kids trying to catch him in the act of delivering presents to children across the world. From there, the two children and Santa go on a crazy adventure. Sadly, at no point in time does Santa have to head to New York--which is now a prison--to save the President's daughter.

If you want more recommendations for the new stuff coming to Netflix in November, check out the video above.

Is it Gamespot or NetflixSpot ? almost all post the post in main page are related to non gaming or just a few big title games. i can tell you so many gamers are getting tired from your site and changing to some other sites. at least give us option to filter all non gaming posts

@narimanv: You think you're the only one who's made this same complaint? and guess what, they don't care. You don't like Gamespot and people are leaving, you're welcome to find another site to read your gaming material on, nobody is forcing you to be here. Just a thought...

@fivepercent: i don't get this kind of sentences like "no body forcing you to come here". Its an obsolete logic and reasoning for any domain.

Ofcourse no one forcing anyone on web to check their websites no need to pointing such nonsense anywhere to anyone.

Very basic and natural reaction of human being to anything that already made a connection when see its change old behaviour and now its annoying is asking to get back in old routine. Regardress of topic it can be romantic relationship or website or anything else.

I dont know how old are you and for how long you are using gamespot. But for people like me who check this site regulary for more than 15 years, and see this changing behavior. Its natural to react and want to ask them to reconsider their way before completely leave.

@narimanv: Things change that's a fact, Gamespot probably gets more traffic to their site when they show other hot topics instead of only gaming. Some people enjoy having a few different offbeat articles thrown in because they can relate to it one way or another.

I've seen others bitch and moan about the same thing "GAMESPOT HAS A ARTICLE ABOUT SOME MOVIES, WHAT IS THIS A MOVIE SITE OR GAME SITE!!?"

that's an example not verbatim. I dunno what else to tell you, they wont stop these articles and if you've been coming here for the past 15 years you should know by now this is been an ongoing thing and not something that just appeared out of nowhere.

None of the shows previewed interest me but appreciate the list. I just watched the first episode of "Bodyguard" & it's already hooked me. Great tension & realism.

@puzza and@inferiorego:

Thanks for reminding me about the new She-Ra series (we've forgotten all about it). As I've mentioned before, I've been looking for more of her stuff (including books) since I "re-discovered" her universe several months ago (or was it last year,heh). But looking at the clips that you & other sources have shown so far, hmm, I don't know... I mean, even DC Super Hero Girls--which is also for kids--seem far better. But I guess we'll see. :/
