Netflix In July 2019 - Best New Movies And TV Shows To Watch!

Here's our pick of the new originals, shows, and movies coming to Netflix in July, including Stranger Things Season 4, Point Black, Megamind, and the final season of Orange is the New Black.

It's July, and while many people are outside enjoying the sunshine, we'll be staying in checking out some of the treats hitting Netflix this month. In particular, one of the year's most anticipated series hits the service, as well as several other must-watch titles.

The biggest TV event of the month is, of course, the third season of Stranger Things. All the gang are back for another mix of teen nostalgia and sci-fi/horror thrills, and expectations are extremely high for Season 3. In his review, GameSpot's Michael Rougeau says that this season puts Stranger Things "back at the top of its game," so this is an absolute must-watch. It hits Netflix in its entirety on July 4.

Another Netflix Original is Point Blank, a new action thriller from Joe Lynch, who previously made the hugely entertaining office-set horror Mayhem. This one features Marvel actors Anthony Mackie and Frank Grillo and tells the story of an ordinary man who must work for a dangerous criminal to save his pregnant wife.

But it's not all horror and action this month. The animated movie Megamind come highly recommended--the film was a bit overshadowed by Despicable Me upon released due its similar plot, but it's every bit as good, with a stellar voicecast that includes Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, and Jonah Hill.

There are also several new seasons of must-watch shows hitting Netflix in July. Fans of Queer Eye will want to check out Season 4, which sees the Fab Five back in Kansas City--but with a trip to Japan also planned for the season. The seventh and final season of Orange is the New Black also releases, and it will explore Piper's life outside the prison gates.

Finally, there's more anime hitting Netflix in July. While it'll be hard to top June's fantastic double-hit of Aggretsuko Season 2 and the classic Neon Genesis Evangelion, the new series Kengan Ashura looks like great fun. It's an adaptation of a hit manga in which an underground gladiator fights on behalf of a business mogul who wagers mega-business deals on the outcome of the brutal matches. Count us in.
