I would say try the trail before you say it is awful. It is not perfect but it is one of those games that you wish you could have played every time you want to be a knight. I have played two games by this developer so far and they have a very fun style. Not perfect by any means, but since you can try it from their site for free why not?
im not trying to be a hater, but this game looks legitimately awful. clunky mechanics, horrendous ai, sparse worlds and simplistic combat. honestly, this game makes Dynasty Warriors look complex.
@rudzaso that was a player-made mod. This is the real thing from the producers, so it may be similar but it should be better. I'm pretty dissapointed the hear the same music thought... After playing the previous games for tens of hours, that music is kinda annoying
Well I can't say this will be a game I pick up. The AI looks pretty awful. They didn't even react to their allies being stabbed just feet from them. Some even just stood still and let the swordsman come lay the steel down. If they fixed the AI I'd be interested. The concept is good but unless reviews are overwhelmingly positive I doubt I'll buy. I need intelligent enemies, not hordes of stupid ones.
I somehow don't understand.. What is the difference between this version and the one that came out a year ago? Because this version is here as a new release, but I am 120% sure that I played this one on the side of Poland and also with firearms approx a year ago..
Anyone who is curious about how the guns will work, you can download the 1755 mod (i think thats the year). Its a mod that lets you play in America during the French and Indian war (factions are:Cherokee, British, British Frontier, French, French Frontier, and the Spanish, all factions have access to Indians btw) and there are guns grenades and handcannons, I imagine it won't be too different from this (the guns thing I mean, I'm sure the gameplay will be different)
@AntonSaidWhat go play warband multiplayer and you will see what a n00b you will be...there is no loot and upgrading, it all depends on your actual skill and response. I agree that singleplayer is kinda boring but it's very strategic. I wouldn't exchange it for any other similar game that are even 3 times more expensive! Go try it and than talk....n00b
ooh, the coolest thing with the game was the bow!! seeing a bunch of arrows destroying ur cute little shield, or placing a headshot from 50 meters on a swordsman riding a horse, but fun to try something new!
The single player, while fun, lacks the intensity and coordination of a good 40+ multiplayer battle. Not to mention the epic duels that two players who are good at manual blocking can have.
WOW anyone who says that the combat looks bad has obliviously never played the originals...go onto steam and download the demos and be simply amazed at what one guy can do as opposed to some major developers like bethesda.
I wander what the stability will be like in game. Hopefully they don't make guns overpowered so swords can still be used effectively. Only time will tell.
Haha yeah, lets hope that a.i. WAS on low :P I won't be getting this on account of the guns, but any day that has a Mount and Blade game on Gamespot's front page is a good day. Couldn't they write some original music for the game though? The rain looked quite nice...
They should make some boss fights so when you are fighting against the enemy leader it gets more intense and the other solider surround you and dont interfere while you and the enemy leader are fighting....
