House of Horrors: Alan Wake

loved this game!

i didn't think this was a bad game, but i was pretty unhappy with the price i paid for it. that's when i learned my lesson about preorders and collector's editions. $80 for a game that i beat in 2 days and had zero desire to ever revisit.

So sad the combat in this game is downright horrendous, killed it for me :/

It's a pretty good game all around, the facial expressions could be better though.

Man I really need to grab this up for PC. Beat it on 360 but I bet the graphics are tenfold on here.

If energy batteries die so quickly then I'm not going to be buying them for my flashlights any time in the near future.

A horror story with a protagonist who is a writer. That is becoming really overused at this point.

I don't really see the difference between horror or thriller actually. When selecting movies, if I want my adrenaline to pump, I'll frequently choose either horror, thriller, or suspense. The hero can get really badly effed up even if he/she can't die. In all three genres of movie there are times when there can be a character that you were fooled into thinking was the main character, but it turns up to be someone else. Action movies the hero always prevails, it's just a matter of time. All video games share that in common with horror movies. They've tried to have the hero sacrifice himself several times in video games, but that doesn't really count and it has never worked once.

I'm confused why this video was made seeing as Alan Wake is a few years old now. It's a great game, don't get me wrong though.
