Here's What FIFA 19's Battle Royale Mode Looks Like

Check out some FIFA 19 Survival Mode gameplay running on PS4 Pro. FIFA 19 has an interesting take on the battle royale genre.

FIFA 19's expanded Kick Off mode includes a number of surprises. There are some welcome new additions, such as detailed stats breakdowns following matches and the ability to play a Champions League-, FA Cup-, or Europa League-themed match.

However the most interesting new feature included in the mode is something called House Rules. This is something many FIFA players have been doing themselves for years while playing against friends, but now EA will allow you to input special laws into your match. For example, you can prevent short-range goals from counting towards the scoreline, force your mates to score from headers and volleys only, or remove all laws of the game from being applied--including offsides.

One of these variations is called Survival Mode, and it's about as close to a game of Battle Royale that FIFA will likely ever get. It's surprisingly simple: score a goal, and one random player from your team will get sent off. They'll walk off the pitch looking bewildered, and Martin Tyler and Alan Smith have even recorded custom commentary lines for the event. Take a look at how it all works in the video above.

FIFA 19's release date has been set for September 28 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, PS3, and Xbox 360. For more on the sports game, check out our look at 19 amazing FIFA 19 features you might have missed.
