This is a pretty weak video. Some of them sure do follow on their respective categories, but I get the feeling some were just thrown in there and the video clips on this don't do it justice. One example: in S.T.A.L.K.E.R (Shadow of Chernoble) this guy used ravid dogs after the player outside the blasted tunnel I keep dying from the electricity inside it. What this guy should've used was when the player was in a building (or sewers, can't remember but it was part of the main storyline) and when you entered the area was dark and creepy, with green glowing goo dripping on to the floor. Took two steps and suddenly I heard som vicious scream, three seconds later I was being attacked by a monster that was invisible with glowing red eyes. That was creepy, not ravid dogs!
doom? lol u can play that on a web page not even need to download, its way too old not sacry. and holyknight234 is right show some good clips of the games
oh my goodness! ok first of all the video games they picked are great games and they all have their freaky and scary moments but gamespot picked the parts in the games which arent even scary at all and the clips from the games are way too short! and that voice ARRGGHH its soo annoying. overall most of the games are great for halloween but a terrible video.
Bioshock is a good choice. Rapture is both a ravaged and a horror atmosphere. 'sighs' I wished it wasn't turned into a nightmare like that reviewer in Gametrailers said.
I can't help but miss: Vampire The Requiem: Bloodlines, in the atmosphere department. Especially that burned down hotel level was too creepy to play at night.
I don't get why they put so many useless old games no one is going to play. Come on, Doom? that's freaking old. If someone wants to try Doom, they'll rather go play Doom 3 (and they have Doom 3 there too...) And then all of sudden they put ALL RE SERIES. Holy crap, one is enough to show that they love it, god, way to waste time to show re 1 and 2... And if you want to give out examples of scary games by showing videos, at least show a decent clip. I know FEAR is scary and I love it, but this stupid video shows a clip of that little girl walking. Someone who doesn't know about this game wouldn't be tempted to try it. And then they have those games where all they show is a guy walking around. No, that did not tempt me. Show us something scary in the video, not some useless clips of people walking and standing still. PS. Is System Shock 2 really scary? I thought it was an action game... Oh well, I'm just happy they put L4D
WTH??? They even dont put the really games scary moments. This video wont help anyone to chose a scary game. Will help to chose no game at all. Also they make a big mess with this classifications and dont need to put all the games of a serie like RE 1 2 3 4 5 ...
Think they like Resident Evil? Good list, but no Crimson Butterfly. *sniffle* I was surprised when they didn't put Alien Vs. Predator 2 on there, though. All of a sudden having your screen be filled with a giant facehugger, now that's freaky..
What is with the video, Resident Evil 5? Its not even out yet, and how do you go from Re5 to Doom? Also i thought they were classified oddly and probably wrong in my opinion.
Right, so it gave me an idea of which games i might want to check out if I'm looking for horror but... DAMN that was probably the lamest try at 'scary' I've ever seen. xD Come on, gamespot. Seriously. xD
