GS News - Xbox One Controller on PC and Witcher Countdown Site

I like the idea to make the Xbox One controller available for Windows. But, I think I could simply use the controllers of my current gen consoles instead. At least hat will give them a use after PS4 and XONE are out. $59 for a thing that I already have is a bit too much.

It's CGI trailer and already leaked on youtube , thanks to Micro$oft , much like internal beta of Mass Effect 3 they leaked the trailer for Witcher 3 via Xbox Dashboard .

However you shouldn't watch it until CDPR officially release it , trailer quality is suffering from youtube filters .

a great controller?? sorry, that's not Microsoft's multi-million $$ pile of plastic and metal... i much prefer the Dual Shock over anything else i've used.. no wonder it wasn't Jess today, the show started with 2 non-news stories featuring Microsoft..

GTA5 website didnt work for me last time i tried it, but can't wait for that one...

So the Xbox One controller uses that Wifi Direct, I guess that means you will need some kind of wireless network capability for the PC you want to connect it to. Assuming they meant wireless and not wired over USB.

While this is fine for laptops, I never put wireless hardware into my desktop PCs, and occasionally when it was built-in to the motherboard, I just don't use it since wired just works faster and better overall. If I have to buy and plug in a USB wifi device, I don't want to have to deal with making sure it doesn't interfere with my wired connection.

Well, I don't know how this is going to work, but right now it sounds like more trouble than just popping in a USB bluetooth device, or the old Xbox 360 USB receiver for PC. One nice thing, it might become possible to connect the Xbox One controller to a bunch of other devices/PCs (Linux based, etc.) with only some software reverse engineering.

I love the XBOX controller for PC. Would definitely get the XBOX ONE controller for the PC.
