What isn't banned in Australia? Is it trying to be a third world country

First thing to mention, as many have pointed out the act of rape within the game is actually not "real", it's a movie scene being played out by actors.

When I first read about this I assumed it was the interactive nature that bothers them, because movies certainly have scenes of rape and all sorts of "bad" things. But then hearing that long statement about merely "depicting" and such brings me back to the thought that games are getting unfairly singled out.

I guess it's like someone commented on the article about this, that the board is still viewing games as a thing mainly for kids, that games are not art like other media, and therefore are not a protected form of expression.

Or maybe I'm wrong and every movie with a rape scene is also banned in Australia? Seems unlikely.

People are too easily offended, don't like it don't buy it. Its rated as adult content, so no BS about thinking of the children and adults can make up their own damn mind.

Australia is a perfect example of not allowing the government to present ratings to video games. Instead of giving it a rating to let the consumer decide, the government is making the decision.

The game IS violent, VERY violent... toward everything and everyone... Should censorship be applied every-time someone is offended?
