I am glad gamespot takes things like copy/pasting maps on $60 titles seriously
@dannydouble: It's actually clickbait BS on Gamespot's part. Primal's world has a completely different feel to it. Who cares if map geometry is similar. A legitimate gaming news site wouldn't give crap like this the time of day. A site desperate for sensationalized headlines and clicks... maybe.
@2.48 Uncharted (PC, PS4, X1) .
@ginyuman: I think it's just an editing mistake, I would be really surprised if it will come out as a multiplat.
The re-used map isn't super important but it is a bit funny when you consider the marketing for these games where they constantly tell us how much effort is put into every aspect, how they work so hard on authentic worlds, etc. I couldn't find a quote where they specifically claimed the landmass or terrain (they did talk a lot about the plants/animals/languages) was designed to be authentic to the setting or anything like that, but it will be hilarious if someone does.
Far Cry Primal is pretty much Far Cry 4 minus guns and vehicles, but still retaining all the pointless busy-work. Not sure how that makes it better, but that's what critics say. I guess a copy-pasta style total conversion can somehow masquerade as a full retail price original release these days and no one bats an eye-lid. Personally I'll wait till it's 20 bucks or so, which is what this thing should have cost in the first place.
hehehe..Ubisoft...that's one way to be lazy I guess. :P
