I don't want to rent or pay subscriptions! I just want to buy the occasional game and play the thing!

EA still sucks. Well except maybe DA: Inquisition (time will tell). But yeah, EA sucks.

I think subscription fees from publishers for gamers are in general a smart business decision. With the 5-Dollar-a-month-program EA is just testing the waters to find out how many gamers will be attracted to such a business model. I think 5 Dollars a month or 30 Dollars a year for four old games is not gonna work.

Okay, they said they will expand the service. But what does that actually mean? I guess we have to wait and see.

In my opinion they should make it 75 Dollars a year for their entire software lineup. But if they would be successful with that concept, it would mean that they would have to expand their server capacities. And most of us know what the outcome of that might be. Sim City, anyone?

I have never heard Jess saying "unfortunately" for something that favors Sony. She is cute and all but i dont feel her impartial.

Xbox One exclusively...unfortunately...maybe for you, Xbox One is killing it!

Publisher Games I Would Like For a Subscription

Ubisoft or EA, but I already own all the games I like from them and will so in the future. I'm a buyer, not a freeloader or renter.

If I really like or love a game, I will own it. . .Otherwise, everyone from Jess' favourites collection on any platform--What am I missing out on?

Thank you Jess.

5 dollars to play old EA GAMES from last year. W H A T ?

EA, are you kidding, who the hell wants to play Madden 25.

12 x 5 = 60. Each game on there will be less than 20 dollars to physically own. (Do the Math people)

G T F O of here EA and Micro$oft. You both where made for each other.

Avatar image for rogerpdaultry

@StephenSays It's $30 a year if you pay up front

That Lincoln quote made me think of an Einstein quote I saw today: “I fear the day technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idi0ts.” Completely off topic, I know. You should flag it as such.

@SingletreeAve Einstein was right though the world is full off ldiots, I don't know how many times I've been out only to see groups of people looking at their phones instead of talking to each other

That subscription thing came out of nowhere, but it sounds like a pretty good deal. Which, coming from EA, smells fishy to me.

CoD story is something only a few probably care avout, but seeing Kevin Spacy is always nice, shows how they were lying saying you don't see the difference to real life xD

This Gaymer thing: Well it is nice they get money I guess? I don't know much about them, I just remember the Tomodachi thing and there they acted rather annoying and I'm pretty sure they had no idea what the game was

Avatar image for ahpuck

I would like access to all the games Konami/capcom/Squeenix have ever made, on any platform.

Avatar image for hystavito

EA access, and Xbox exclusive, well that came out of nowhere, surprised the heck out of me anyway, not sure about others.

Avatar image for habeasdata

I agree with the previous coment, i would like a suscriptio for ubisoft games, but only on pc

Avatar image for Aleperez75

I want it only on Xbox One

Avatar image for Zombie97

I would want a subscription for Ubisoft games (on all platforms obviously) because there are so many of them :D

Avatar image for BrunoBRS

no quirky intro makes me sad, but i shouldn't be surprised, considering how many shows she has to make :P

personally not a fan of subscriptions. and with steam sales, i'm likely to buy all the games i care about of a given publisher for as much as it would cost me to pay for their subscription anyway :P

Hopefully call of duty story wiil be better than call of duty:ghosts. I think that with the inclusion of kevin spacey it will surely be better, specially after the great job that he did in house of cards

To all the PS4 owners saying " it will come to PS4 eventually" well sorry to burst your bubble but I was right, it is only Xbox one Exclusive. so it wont go to PS4. Plus PS4 has PS Now.

Avatar image for StephenSays

You do know this is a rip off. It is not for any newly released EA games. You don't even know when you are being ripped off, enjoy your Xbox One.

Avatar image for Aleperez75

You are just jealous. Just get an Xbox One and enjoy

Avatar image for dirtydishes23

@Aleperez75 The only reason i will eventually get an Xbox One is for Halo .... thats the only thing its got going for it right now ( and Cod DLC early of course)

Avatar image for SingletreeAve

@jako998 Nothing against consoles, but EA should have made this service available on PC first. Only because it's a platform where there have a moderately sized library of games (at best). Iron out the bugs, then make it available on consoles when they have significant content to offer.

Avatar image for hystavito

@jako998 I'm wondering if this was a push by MS, or maybe Sony was approached by EA but declined, possibly because they plan to run some kind of subscription service of their own or maybe with another publisher(s), who knows. By subscription service I mean for new games, not streamed like PS Now.
