No!!!! I wouldn't want to play Uncharted without Nathan Drake. Nathan Drake is Uncharted. It's like playing Tomb Raider without Lara Croft. Zelda without Link. It is like watching Indiana Jones without Indiana Jones. Drake is just so dang cool. If Uncharted 5 is going to be made then just bring back Nathan Drake. If he is not coming back then just make a New IP cause it's not Uncharted without Nathan Drake. It would never feel the same without him.
Whoa 64GB for Halo 5 gheez, Although in regards to Uncharted 4 being the final one to star Nathan Drake i don't mind if they ended the series there to be honest would be interesting to see what Naughty Dog would do next. They gave us The Last of Us and that was amazing. So would be good to see what they would do with a new IP.
What exactly is a tempertress? Is that a hairdo? An alcoholic cocktail? A flirtatious tease?
A really nice show. It put a smile on my face.
hideo kojima should stop complating
End of an era with Kojima leaving Konami. It's a shame that culture around Konami changed so much that it made his work environment untenable. People throw the word auteur around a lot but love him or hate him, all of his games had a very artistic and personal viewpoint. And while scores aren't a definitive decider of quality, I'll doubt we will ever see GameSpot hand out two consecutive perfect scores for a franchise. He will be missed.
Uncharted with a new protagonist would be good. Maybe changing his race from the stereotypical anglo-saxon protestant
@mi_hung_lo: Yeah make him quarter indian, asian, african and latino...
@tempertress A moment of your time, please.
Average Gamer/Community member hoping to make an impression in the #IndieDev scene on Twitter. I'm specifically planning for the (perhaps) distant future when Virtual Reality is an actual "Normal thing"
Here is a link to my profile My first area of focus is redefining "Realistic Damage" for the VR Generation.
Keeping it brief, have watched the videos on your YouTube page. Was wondering if you had any pointers on how to use Twitter, as it seems like an important networking tool. It was all a bit bewildering seeing the 140 character post limit, and wondering how to start using it.
Anyway, another great show as always :) Wishing you all the best.
@Diluted_NZ: Just a little personal side note, I hate that you kinda have to be good with/on social media nowadays to get anyone to notice or care.
@hystavito: I hear you. I recently received a reply from @digitaldame inviting me to submit some of my writing samples, as I posted a comment expressing interest in any "casual work" that might be available here (Gamespot).
I should be thrilled, but I'm a bit concerned that my commenting history will be my undoing. Last time I addressed Jess in a comment, things didn't end up so good; it was flagged and taken down, and I got banned by the @Gamespot account.
TLDR; am wondering if my bridges have already been burned, by not having good social media skills in the past. I like to think of myself as "reformed" now though...
Before you can burn a bridge, you need to have a bridge to begin with. Did you actually make a bridge with Jess? Hoe did you do that? You must have been a very lucky man.
@dr_milton_e: I've had some journalistic experience. I used to write primarily from a consumer advocacy standpoint, for a newsletter; some of my articles went on to be published in newspapers. I addressed her in a comment framed as a statement from one journalist to another, and things kind of went down hill because I was writing in stream of consciousness, in a bad headspace.
Gonzo Journalism isn't always the prettiest of work to read I'm afraid. I got banned, and my worst case scenario is that it was actually Jess who read it, and had the say in the ban decision. So my "bridge" was to get her attention, and her reaction and the ban was the bridge being burned.
@dr_milton_e: Not so much a literal bridge (as in we met or knew each other) but an implied bridge I guess.
New Zealand has very close ties with Australia (where Jess is situated); there's what's referred to as the "Anzac Spirit" which has its roots in our cooperation during World War I in battles such as Gallipoli.
Our countries may not always agree 100%, but we at least can be good natured and poke fun at each other.
I just don't want to be the only kiwi dealing with a newsroom full of Australians, and already have set a bad example of how we as a nation can be expected to act. I don't know - very complex situation.
Maybe I'm just making something out of nothing. It's my personality type I guess. I try to treat people in the comments section as if they were in a face to face conversation with me and I slipped up with Jess. Hence I got a ban.
An implied bridge, I agree. I hope you succeed in building a real bridge where there is a real dialog of goodwill can be exchanged.
Your heart is in the right place. You seem to have a really heart good heart and I know you are more than worthy of forgiveness.
If not, then everyone on this earth should be banned forever because we're of being human at any poiint. in time, and less than perfect, no matter who you are or where you come from.
Killing someone off and everything good they have to bring to the table because they were guilty of being a human being at one point and time doesn't make sense.
@Diluted_NZ: i don't mean to pry, but as buddy ( albeit a new buddy ) i have to ask, this ban you speak of, is from ages ago?
if so i don't believe it will be an issue. if it is from that shit from the other day, i believe you are trippin if you think that is a "burned bridge" if that even comes up, i would imagine a brief look into it will alleviate any doubt about your char
but a DD said submit your works and be evaluated above all else that should speak volumes more about you than a rant born of silliness :)
@suppaphly42: Yeah I know, overthinker here.
Just the "Ban bot boilerplate" message from GS referenced "Stalkertone and Excessive Fanboyishness" towards Jess (paraphrasing) in my conduct. Maybe that means I just did a bit too much research and overplayed the whole "Cult of Jess" thing.
I think I'll actually post that one to DD as a lead in to get it out of the way...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gonzo_journalism basically sums up my writing style at the moment.
@Diluted_NZ: ok now i understand so much more than i did before :)
i've never been more jelly of mic before :P
and in local news its election day in Canada!!!!! so the evil Stephen Harper will no longer besmirch the Canadian name, with his warmongering and his anti-environmental bull shit. ahahahaha :P
so far its a land slide victory, in the Atlantic provinces, at a 64% vote for the liberals. that is a good thing IMHO. (currently we have the conservative party government. which isn't bad per say, but its leader is evil, evil i say ahhhhh)
@thrombosis45: golf clap
EDIT: LISTEN TO THE RADIO lololol
@suppaphly42: I've always found the word besmirch to be hilarious. I don't know about Trudeau, nice hair though, hheh I love that commercial :).
@hystavito: are you from Canada?
the word is funny that why i chose it :P lol
yeah its not the hair that won my vote :P
