I'm a big fan of violent video games. Love 'em. But on first view "Hatred" frankly irritates me, because it seems to be a truly blatant attempt to fire up the "Video Games Are Evil!" idiots. And on the face of it, the publishers seem to be doing it on purpose with the deliberate aim of benefiting from the free publicity.

Unfortunately this does a whole lot of collateral damage to the rest of the industry.

I'm a big fan of games that use violent images to craft a compelling story, or to generate excitement. But if the violent images are used solely to generate marketing buzz then I'm going to turn right off.

@bolo_brule Completely agree with this. The dude is even wearing a trenchcoat..... If this gets out it's just going to be a media nightmare. It's not even the violence, it's about a trenchcoat wearing dude shooting up people because he's mad! let me guess a high school level implemented in it too? Sheer idiocy IMO.
