Gearbox should stick to Borderlands and Brothers In Arms in all honesty. If we've learned anything from Duke Nukem Forever and Aliens: Colonial Marines, it's that Gearbox has a tendency to butcher a franchise that they didn't create themselves. On the other hand, when they make their own, such as the aforementioned Borderlands or Brothers In Arms, it is almost a guaranteed hit.
I'm interested. Duke Nukem kicks ass, and Gearbox is a great developer. DN Forever was pretty bad (though I don't think it was as bad as the reviews made it out to be), but it suffered from being developed for so long, getting cancelled, getting bought up... Then Gearbox didn't even really make it, they just finished it. If they make a whole new Duke Nukem game, from the ground up, it could be awesome. A real proper successor to Duke Nukem 3D.
Not even mentioning the best part. Randy, while saying he enjoyed Duke Nukem Forever, compared it to the "Batman and Robin" movie of the Batman franchise. He thinks he can remake a Christopher Nolan calibre Duke Nukem game.
It might be interesting to see whether or not Gearbox could do better than polishing the dust off of an old turd like Duke Nukem Forever and make their own, up-to-date Duke game. They should give it a go!

Nice spell checking.
I don't think this can end well...
