Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episode 2 Recap And Breakdown Of "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms"

Join Lucy and Ryan as they talk through the night before the biggest battle in Winterfell history, Tamoor and Dave dig into what could lurk in the crypts, and Lucy goes on a Lord of the Rings tangent that no one asked for, but are getting anyway.

The second episode of Game of Thrones was another series of reunions, quiet moments, and character arcs paying off years of development. Everyone in Winterfell is waiting for the army of the dead to arrive, and while everyone prepares for battle, they're all more than a bit worried that they're actually going to die.

While the army of the Night King didn't actually show up until the very end of the episode, there was still a lot happening. As usual, Lucy and Ryan break it all down, with help from Tam and Dave. Check it out in the video above.

The episode begins with the return of Jaime Lannister to Winterfell, where he faces people who used to be his enemies, who he's wronged and hurt, and who have plenty of reason to want to bring him to justice. But the army of the living needs every fighter, even a one-handed Kingslayer.

We got even more reunions, with Dolorous Edd and Tormund getting back to Winterfell to see Jon Snow and Theon Greyjoy getting back to Sansa Stark. Oh, and Ghost is back, too, though you might have missed him popping up in the background.

The episode also brought together characters fans have been shipping basically forever--and fulfilled the wishes of the fans who've been hoping to see them get together. Only one was a hookup, but the second culminated in an emotional moment that made history for Westeros.

There are lots of theories about what might go on in the next episode. The crypts beneath Winterfell are the subject of a lot of speculation, and there are even more ideas about what might happen that we'll break down. Let us know what you think in the comments!
