First 21 Minutes of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Gameplay

Nintendo just released a demo for the new Zelda: Breath of the Wild spin-off Age of Calamity, and in this video we fight through the first level as Link and Impa, and learn the origins of the mysterious new baby Guardian.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity arrives on Nintendo Switch in a little under a month, but in the meantime, Switch owners can get a small taste of the game right now. Nintendo has surprise-dropped a free demo for Age of Calamity on the eShop, letting you play through the opening chapter and carry over your progress to the full release once it arrives.

Age of Calamity is set 100 years before events of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and this introductory chapter sets the stage for the grand conflict that's about to unfold between the kingdom of Hyrule and Ganon's minions.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity launches exclusively for Switch on November 20. If you have save data for Breath of the Wild on your system, you'll find an exclusive weapon waiting for you when you start up the game as a little bonus: the Training Sword. You can learn more about the game in our Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity preorder guide.
