While it's been incredibly hard for comic book fans, and pop culture fans in general, to hear about the passing of the late, great Stan Lee, he's left a mark on the world that has made billions of people happy throughout the years. He is truly an American icon that has given the world so much.
Lee is credited with creating some of the most iconic comic book characters alongside legendary artists like Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko. The Fantastic Four, the X-Men, Spider-Man, and more are just some of Lee's creations. Because of the astronomical impact Lee has had on the comics, he's gotten the chance to appear in a lot of Marvel comics movies. He's never had a major role, obviously, only cameos. Stan Lee has become a more contemporary version of Where's Waldo?
Popping up in movies and television shows isn't a new thing for Lee, as he's had plenty of appearances in everything from Muppet Babies to Mallrats. Over the years, however, he's appeared in 34 Marvel movies, including three movies in 2018. From appearing at conventions to making videos on YouTube to appearing in these movies, he always seemed to be working, bringing smiles to people's faces across the globe.
Thanks for everything you've done over the years, Stan. And thank you even more for all your hilarious cameos.
