Fear drives everything you do in Amnesia: Rebirth. As Tasi Trianon, you've joined a mining expedition headed for Algeria in 1937--but supernatural shenanigans cause your plane to crash. Awakening afterward, you find the survivors are gone, and you have no idea what has happened. At the start of the game, you venture off in hopes of finding your companions, exploring caves and tunnels near the crash site to figure out what happened. As the name of the game might suggest, you've lost your memory in Amnesia: Rebirth, which makes it even tougher to figure out what has happened to you and your friends. The gameplay clip above finds Tasi as she tracks the expedition to a fortress occupied by French Foreign Legion soldiers, a couple of hours into the game. Tasi knows her friends came this way, but little else. But inside the fortress is a radio that will allow her to contact the expedition, wherever they've ended up--she just needs to get to it.Amnesia: Rebirth follows the story of developer Frictional Games' seminal PC horror game, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, although you don't need to know that game to follow this one. In both games, managing light and darkness are essential. When Tasi finds herself in the dark, her fear grows, and when her fear becomes unmanageable, a strange sickness overtakes her. Follow us through the fort as we try to find enough light to survive and discover what happened to the expedition and figure out how to get to the radio.
