familiar name, since "El Shaddai" is an internationally known religious Catholic sect. Cool, the devotees might see this as their official game.

it has very attractive graphics. i think it would be better if it were made into a movie than a game.

Amazing!!! Something fresh to play on this boring year. Is based on the bible, so no whining about violence here.

the demo was awsome, even though u can tell its a japan made game trying to be western its still beautiful and fun to play.

look ok.. the problem is that the competitors have the upper hand of nearly all aspect. The reputation for this studio isn't good either. Hope this game becomes at least more than average game.

the graphix is very attractive. i will buy it only to enjoy watching the art.

@hammertime1080 Final Fantasy Tactics is bar none my all time favorite game...followed closely by Xenogears. Now I actually liked the Xenosaga. But it was nothing compared to Xenogears (though XS 3 was actually pretty damn good). Tactics has a LOT to offer and if you are into doing everything....get ready to spend a lot of time. Let me give you some advice. The thief class is probably the most useful class...its the only way to get certain armor and weapons...and lets you get stuff way early. But it takes patience. That being said, enjoy the games you are playing and enjoy FFT.

@einrazer I will def have to play FFT. I've been looking for a SRPG to play after I beat Nier and Suikoden II (which are both like crack in video game form). Guess it will wind up being FFT. I had no idea it touched on religion. Too bad about Square selling the rights for Xenogears to Namco so they can make the piss poor Xenosaga series. If a game like Xenogears were made today without all the budget problems and with current gen graphics, it would redefine epic gaming.

If you're going to deal with religion, your name should be Nietzsche, Kierkegaard, etc. because if not, your use of religion is going to be borderline-comical or worse. Yes, I'm talking to you, Assassin's Creed. Games like to add cultural things to their plots to make them seem deep, but it really just makes the cultural whatever look retahded, so I understand Tex's complaints. (same reason I thought "300" was a blasphemy against history, and the game "Beyond Good and Evil" a blasphemy against Nietzsche) I don't expect much from this game as far as depth, but if it's half as fun as it is trippy, it'll be worth checking out.

LOOOVE the all the shaders in this game. Hoping it's more than most DL games. (Made me think of Killer 7 and ZOE)

@Tesaxjgc It is just a game. I understand your conviction. But just remember it is no more than a story meant to entertain using the mythos of Christianity (I said mythos and not myth...there is a difference...I am of Christian faith). I actually really enjoy stories that involve Christianity. But I do agree that Arc Rise Fantasia had the worst localization since the original Resident Evil. So if its the same company I hope to God....no pun intended....that they learned their lesson. I still like ARF, but I had to mute sometimes lol.

@hammertime1080 I see your pic now, but I was actually going to suggest you play Xenogears. It very much deals with Christianity. And if you really want a game that hits a strong parallel with Christianity, Final Fantasy Tactics is 1 step shy of being a slap in the face of the Vatican. BTW; having played Nier and Darksiders till their completion: both great games. Make sure you play through Nier a second time (untill you do,you do not know the full story).

Awesome! As a christian I will be very interested in seeing this take on the religion. So many other religions and mythos are overused in games. Plus I'm currently playing Nier and looking at getting Darksiders so I am kind of into the action-adventure (plus other classic genres thrown in) hodgepodge right now. Art direction is very refreshing too. Looks promising to me.

The demo was nice, but the trailer got me interested.

@texasjgc there is no god you know... it's all a fairy tale made up in the time there were no cameras everywhere so you would feel guilty to kill someone, even tho there was no one arround in miles to find out. So they made up that there is someone watching you above, all the time, to make you behave. Also it's kind of a human defect, the need to have something biger to believe, because we need to feel so important, opposed to complete oblivion after death, human need to believe there is gonna be something there waiting for them, even if it is virgins, or heaven or the nirvana, it's all crap, there is nothing... and we are gonna be such a better race when we finally come to accept that we have to be good in the world because we HAVE TO, not because, god, Jah, Alá, Jehova, Krishna, whatever you like it, told you to.

I see how the game is artistic and all..I liked it but involving god was never a good move in any media-type things.

Not sure why some dudes - such as one below me - still take a game more seriously than what it is - an entertainment product, and a work of fiction. A video game is not worth b****ing about, regardless of its themes. It's just a commercial product, and one that is protected by freedoms of expression and speech and other things about human rights that I would not debate here. If you are going to send any message to its makers, then do it through your wallet - b****ing does nothing, and ESPECIALLY please don't b**** about people who buy a game that you don't like.

Im totally disgusted with this game. God does not want to destroy humanity or He would have already done it. God loves humanity which is why He sent Jesus to be the sacrifice for sin. This game is a clear and blatant insult to every person of faith on the face of the earth. Whoever came up with this idea should be REALLY ashamed of themselves. This is just plain wrong. Im not hating, Im simply stating the truth. This kind of dis-respect towards people of faith makes me sick. How pathetic......
