Destiny 2 Forsaken DLC Release Date, Annual Pass, And More Revealed - GameSpot Daily

The Forsaken expansion is bringing a ton of new content to Destiny 2 on PC, Xbox One, and PS4, while it looks like we'll be hearing about Hitman 2 very soon.

Activision has revealed Destiny 2's next expansion, Forsaken, which is more substantial than the DLC included in the season pass and is expected to add a significant amount of content. We'll learn more about the story at E3, but other details were revealed during a livestream. Forsaken will introduce a new enemy called the Scorn, which are led by Barons. These Barons come in two varieties: sniper and melee-focused.

Thankfully, you'll have a new weapons system to help take them on. In addition to an improved mod and masterworks system, a new way of slotting weapons will be introduced. For example, this will allow players to carry three shotguns if they wanted to. On top of that, there's also a new bow-and-arrow weapon with short, medium, and long-range versions. During the reveal, Bungie announced the Annual Pass, which is a new kind of paid offering similar to a season pass. Bungie said it's a new way for it to deliver content faster than before. The pass will include three updates: Black Armory in Winter 2018, followed by Joker's Wild in Spring 2019, and Penumbra in Summer 2019. These updates will bring more endgame content, as well as new weapons, armour, and vanity rewards to collect.

The Gambit mode was also revealed, which is a mix of PvE and PvP. You work together as a team to clear out hordes of enemies, while another team does the same on their side of the playing field. It sounds a lot like Tetris, but instead of filling in lines and solving puzzles, you're shooting enemies and sending a butt-load of fiends over to your opponents' side.

There's a lot more information about Destiny 2: Forsaken, and we've got it all in today's GameSpot Daily. But be sure to stay tuned, as we've got a bunch of other stories ready to go in 30 minutes or less.

In other news, it looks like Hitman 2 could be announced very soon. Both the Hitman and WB Games Twitter accounts have teased a reveal for June 7. WB Games published Hitman's Definitive edition back in April, and the company's teaser video features the word HAMSUN, which is a fictional oil company in the Hitman universe.

Speaking of unannounced games, Blizzard has revealed in a job listing that it's working on a "new, unannounced Diablo project." Unfortunately, that's all we know. The job listing is for a dungeon artist, and it sounds like the unannounced project won't deviate from Diablo's classic style.

Lastly, we finally have a release date for Code Vein or, as we like to call it in the GameSpot office, "Anime Dark Souls." It's coming in September for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and we've got a refresher for you in today's episode, just in case you're not quite clear on what Code Vein is. And that's what you'll find in today's show, but be sure to tune in every day of the week at 11 AM PST/2 PM EST/7 PM BST/4 AM AEST for another episode of GameSpot Daily.
