I come back to this article every other day because its still featured, hoping that they would have finally added something remotely interesting.
a game where you can play the role of a butterfly!? wow!!! how cool!!!! (sarcasm)
ok in all fairness, the game does look beautiful. as for the gameplay, it kinda bothered me though that at around 00:28 it goes underwater and there does not seem to be any particular change in the gameplay mechanic, it looks like it does the same thing as on the air, albeit noticeable slowly, so whats the point in making it going underwater a feature in the first place? in classic gaming, what happened when Super Mario went underwater? or Donkey Kong from SNES Donkey Kong Country? what about Megaman? even he got his dog to turn into a submarine. oh but in here a butterfly goes underwater and it just the same thing as in the air, but slowly? whats the point of looking pretty with nice graphics if the gameplay can not out match classic over two decades old games? that being said, I would still give the benefice of the doubt, I mean it is just a 59 sec gameplay after all .
Interesting how the water effects look terrible from above the water (ink, jello water) but great below the water.
Well nothing particularly stunning unless they're referring to how good it looks( and yes its pretty obvious that it is; since i'll bet its probably running on Unreal 4 or something.) that's about it though
I'm buying this for sure
How is this funny at all? Where are the explosions, the enemies, the shootings, or whatever makes this as "unique action adventure"??? F** you gamespot
@Gadeos: True, how can a game be "unique" without shooting and killing and lots of explosions!
That looks amazing.
Looks like I'm in the minority here but I see a lot of potential in what I just saw
OK I'm confused...Action? Adventure?
Water looked terrible. Early days though.
"SOURCE is a metroidvania action adventure game for next gen consoles and PC."
WHAT PART OF THIS IS METROIDVANIA PLATFORMER STYLE TO YOU?!
I wouldn't call this stunning...or action adventure.
Sorry Gamespot but I don't share your love for pretentious artsy, minimalist crap.
I must not understand what "Action-Adventure" means if this qualifies

@vackillers@killerious: I don't know, I kind of see it. Other than that, I'm not impressed at all. As someone said, "pretentious artsy, minimalist crap" is pretty spot on.
@killerious: With very stiff looking controls.
Either that or it was being played by a one armed man eating a sandwich.
Gamespot's video player isn't so bad, I mean I'm sure theres plenty of people out there still using 360p monitors right ?
Well the thumbnail looked alright. Now if GS would just update their straight up asscheeks video player.
@reduc_ab_: The video player is fine. Just because it doesn't work for you, doesn't mean everyone else has the same problem.
Works fine for me. No stuttering and loads in a second or 2.
What systems is this game for? Just PC?
@dani_i89@reduc_ab_: I hear from a lot of people here it doesn't work well for them.
@reduc_ab_@dani_i89: Maybe it's the computer or the browser? I click on the link, and the video starts playing in 2 seconds, uninterrupted. It's fine.
A lot of people complain about a lot of things on this site.
Certainly no wingers on ign
@dani_i89@reduc_ab_: I don't know man I've been trying to get the video player here to work for like 2 years. It always just stutters like hell for me. I've used several different browsers, even different computers. Currently I use Chrome. There should be no reason it should eff up that I can see, but it does. I've given up. I just go to youtube. The problem is, the GS youtube page doesn't upload every single vid from the site. Oh well, I guess.
@reduc_ab_@dani_i89: A few years back no matter what I did IGN was always slower than a 28k dial up connection I feel your pain.
@reduc_ab_@dani_i89: Hmm sorry to hear that. I'm even using the well-considered 'terrible' Internet Explorer and Windows 8.1 (no issues with either). I like the player, it's fast and responsive for me.
@dani_i89@reduc_ab_: Considering I haven't used Explorer since, like, 10 years ago, maybe I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the tip.
@reduc_ab_@dani_i89: At the end of the day, it's just an internet browser. It does the job just fine, and I like the layout. I never got the hate, and never understood how a simple, functional browser can be so hated. It's all I use. But like I said before, people complain a lot around here (not directing it at you). Give it a go.
It is awful isn't it. I've pretty much given up trying to play vids on gamespot, instead I just nip over to Youtube and search for the video that SHOULD have worked on GS!
@domiddian: That's what I do too. I haven't watched a vid on this site in months.
What is the Stunning in this footage ?
This game looks like it has a bad case of the HDR-DOF-lensflares.
Well that was pretty nuts looking, but I'm not sure what the point was. Just to collect those orb thingys?
@NiteX: lmao, yeah it look super fun doesn't it?
Still looks promising. Need to see more of the gameplay though.
Stunning as in what?
I have no idea what that was.
@pezzott1: Destiny 2: The Vex Strikes Back.
