Most distracting music I've ever heard in a game trailer. Eminem FFS?! Also some idiot has to say this so I volunteer - Women = Call of Booty.
Bring on the hate, I earned it with that one.
@TVsportsCOD Ha......you said booty.......
That's right Activision, you just get me pumped and excited by Eminem's music and then when I'm not thinking straight because Eminem's music has me pumped up and in the moment, I'll pre-order your game. Great marketing strategy guys, I nearly fell for it.
*Secretly pre-orders Ghosts*
@19James89 secretly finds song*
Like the previous COD games, Ghosts's guns still have no effing recoil! Welp back to playing Counterstrike Source then.
The trailer looks nice, the music is not bad too and it still looks like a lot of fun to play.
But that "Next Gen" thing that Infinity Ward is telling us doesn't seem to shine here.
Without the "Dog" and "Fish Ai that is better than the enemy or friendly Ai" joke, this still doesn't look like something fresh, Next Gen or worth my money compared to the other games coming out. (No, I'm not a Battlefield, Halo or Destiny fanboy .)
Will I play it ? Yes
Will I buy it ? No. I'm better off borrowing the game from my friend who is buying almost every COD game out there and still not felling satisfied with his game.
typical cod hating children year on year i have watched CoD trailers just out of interest (same with battlefield) i have barely played any of them but every year i watch these trailer and also some game play when people have it on the background of YouTube vids and every year they look the exact same . . however this year they actually seem to have changed it somewhat and you all still complain purely out of spite and hatred of whats popular ¬.¬ please grow up children i don't like halo but i don't rage about it either at the end of the day the core game play will never change . . . it hasn't since FPS's were basically first around.
No disrespect, but if the consumer doesn't speak up, nothing will ever change. Frankly, it's your kind of consumer mentality that allows these developers to constantly put out the same car with a slightly different paint job.
@rawkstar007 welcome to life and people obviously like the game otherwise it wouldn't sell and would have changed
@19James89 @rawkstar007 I don't mean to be a jerk but you said that slating said companies for lack of innovation is a bit unfair. Then you proceeded to say that it hasn't changed. Why would that not be a legitimate concern?
Because they constantly break their own records? Okay, fine. Lets see how many records they break if they made the exact same game but DIDN'T call it "Call of Duty." Let's see how loyal a hungry dog REALLY is.
@rawkstar007 Those who slate Activision, Infinty Ward and Treyarch for a lack of innovation are being a bit unfair. Now I am not a massive fan of FPS's apart from Bioshock, but each Call of Duty apart from MW2/MW3 have had a different feel to them.
Sure the gameplay, the mechanics haven't changed, the core elements if you like, but then why would they change something which year on year smashes its own record?
Sure the changes in each annual edition are cosmetic, but clearly millions of gamers still like CoD because Black Ops II shifted 24.5 million copies across all platforms.
Yes I said greed but make no mistake: There is a big difference between companies who try to earn your money and loyalty through true effort and innovation (Projekt Red) and those who would merely use a name brand to seek every penny from you (Activision, EA).
@rawkstar007 greed? just like every other company? look at the real world dude at the end of the day they will not and cannot please everyone so sorry if i disagree with you thinking your more important than everyone else ¬.¬
So you acknowledge that it hasn't changed? That doesn't come across as a bit patronizing and could understandably rub customers the wrong way in terms of blatant greed?
I wonder if the peak & lean will be like Rainbow Six 3. You could lean and head shots wouldn't kill you. You'd have to get shot with about 2-3 clips before you died. XD
COD will remain king no matter what anyone says, this has been proven time after time.
I think it's safe to say that the first Black Ops is the closest thing we got to a fresh new CoD.
They have basically tried to bring back the things that made pre MW2 CoD fun. AND FAILED.
lol, this is a joke, we have a new need for speed here
SAME SHIT DIFFERENT SUBTITLE
yea, they use the same shit to run well on all pcs to won more money, then the release map packs for 20 dollars when they want more
COD Ghosts looks great with all the new features such as character customization, dynamic environments, sliding, peek and lean, knife animations, female characters, etc., but it all seems too little too late at this point.Other shooters in past releases have already included a lot of these features into their games and only now COD Ghosts has them? Don't get me wrong, I'm excited that COD is trying to get on Battlefield's level. The last COD I played was MW3, but also that year I bought BF3. MW3 was my worst experience ever playing COD since COD4, and it was my last one ever. I never played BLOPS 2, and I think I'll pass on COD Ghosts.BF3 was my first BF game ever, and I loved it. The teamwork, the vehicles, the large maps. If only there was a higher player count, that would have made it even better. And what do you know, BF4 will have even larger maps, higher player count, even more teamwork and vehicles like the superior PC version. Easy decision, I'm going BF4 -- not COD Ghosts -- next gen.I converted from a COD player to a BF player, and I'll never look back.
I was hoping with next-gen consoles on the rise, Call of Duty would get a major multiplayer facelift. I was wrong. Now that we've all seen this video, I think it's safe to say that Bobby Kottick wants his CoD franchise to stay the same until people officially stop buying it - just like Guitar Hero.... Here's Bobby Kottick's Management Philosophy: "What? You're not gonna buy the same game sequel anymore? Shit, well Activision is too lazy to actually bring you something fresh and new, SOOO we'll just completely axe the franchise and start a new one..."
@Digital_DJ_00 They're adding new things to it, they always do. I don't understand what it is that people want changed. It's a FPS, and COD plays to perfection as a shooter. All they can do is change up the features to make the experience different, and that's exactly what they do each year.
@Digital_DJ_00 ever heard the term why fix whats broken? why would they when it is the top selling game every single year, if you don't like these games don't play them >.> i don't but i also don't bitch about em
@uchihasilver @Digital_DJ_00 You mean "Don't fix what isn't broken"? And I actually completely agree with that. The main point of my frustration isn't necessarily CoD, it's Activision's CEO; Kottick. He ran Guitar Hero into the ground by releasing the same shit over and over again. And instead of bringing something new & fresh to the table to spark interest into the franchise again to bring the sales back, he just completely axes the franchise... The SAME thing is happening to CoD as we speak. The pre-order sales for Ghosts is a far cry compared to the numbers of Black Ops, MW3 & Black Ops II. Pre-orders for those titles were in the millions - each. Ghosts hasn't even hit 250,000 for any console. Now I'm fully aware the pre-order numbers isn't an exact representation of what actual sales will be, but you can't deny that this is a clear indication that people are finally starting to get tired of the same CoD. Especially now when we're on the cusp of next-gen consoles, it's a little depressing that CoD limits itself to stay the same when the next-gen consoles can offer the franchise SO much more.Plain and simple: Activision is lazy. Very lazy.
@Digital_DJ_00 i don't have a problem with CoD in fact its other developers i have a problem with, one of the devs of Red Orchestra 2 raged saying CoD has ruined the market . . . all i can say to that is no you people are, they blame CoD because when they COPY CoD they fail . . . wtf seriously try making your own style like CoD4 did in the first place and you may actually sell well, it probably wouldn't put people off of CoD but it would give them more diversity look at halo, battlefield and counter strike they went their own way and they sell well, its not activision who are lazy its others who copy them if others start to do well also activision will turn round and say hmm. . . we need to change things up a bit but without the competition they wont whats the point?
I'm not gonna lie, that actually looks kind of good. I passed on the disaster that was BLOPS II and MW3, but I'm mildly interested in this one.
@mgsfan104 Don't be surprised when it has the same problems as those two games. The core gameplay is nearly identical from what I can see :( I had my hopes up but that was a mistake after all. If you haven't already play CoD 1 or 2. Best CoDs in my opinion.
i just logged in to say this still the same normal cod. nothing important or really new, maybe the textures are better than mw3, on other words fail
Looks like another COD shitty multiplayer.. I wont fall for any of that shit..
But the addition to female soldiers is good but nothing special in my book, but franchise?, owh hell no!..
Meh... Looks like they made some big improvements and slowed the gameplay down which is good. However, much of it is still the same old stuff. Sounds and graphics still seem pretty much identical and the overall presentation is too similar. I have a bad feeling about BF4 too but this is just dissapointing.
Battlefield is gonna shyte on this..and somehow this will outsell BF 2:1
Hey if you like it though enjoy! I'm sure it will be a fine game before that Groundhog Day feeling inevitably sets in : )
@SNESNOSTALGIA2 BFis catching up though. BF3 sold over 15 mill.
@SNESNOSTALGIA2 Battlefield 4 so far looks just like BF3, with more paper lying on the ground incapable of being moved.
@SystemsGO @SNESNOSTALGIA2 Exactly how I feel. I'm sure it will be fun but it isn't very next-gen. I play on PC anyway and ARMA III is being released soon so that is my "next-gen" game :)
Looks like a call of duty game alright.
It Looks like its focused on Clans though, thats good. I Also love that the ps4 and xbox1 are coming with PVRS. (CallingCards) So you can record for your clan and have a youtube channel.
eh I will probably get it but only call in sick to work for 1 day this time.
Copypasta with lamesauce.
Ahh it looks o.k. not bad but not Battlefield
Shows woman npc at end of video, like its such a huge thing. LOL
@Alpr1010 I thought they were trying to hint that players will be able to use their own real life pictures of themselves as character faces in the game. The face of that female NPC looks someones real face which has been pasted on to the character model.
@ShimmerMan @Alpr1010 This could be true. I can already see female body models with male faces running around the map. Because of LOL's... sigh...
@Alpr1010 LOOK AT OUR BIGGEST INNOVATION: THE FEMALE SKIN! BUY US!
Looks Good, But Maybe a Little Complicated.
10 year olds are gonna love this !!!
