Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 doesn’t have a traditional campaign story this year. Instead, it features a series of solo missions revolving around the various Specialist characters, with cutscenes that carry the series’ usual bombastic action. Those cinematics tell the stories of individual characters, many of whom are returning to the series from previous installments. The solo missions in this game are set between the events of Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 3. We’ve gathered up all of the Specialist cinematics and compiled them above, so you can familiarize yourself with the story before getting started or diving into the various modes.
In lieu of a campaign, the multiplayer is split into three branches: traditional competitive multiplayer, the co-op Zombies mode, and the new battle royale mode called Blackout. The game is available now for PC, Xbox One, and PS4, so you can start diving into any of those modes--after a sizable patch if you're playing a physical copy.
