Still trying to scratch that Titanfall itch, huh? Well, your instincts are right if you were hoping to capture such an experience with Moze in Borderlands 3, as investing in certain skills transforms Moze and her Iron Bear mech into the Borderlands equivalent of a Titanfall pilot and Titan. Whether that's your endgame goal or not, though, you should still invest in certain Moze skills over others. In the video above, Jean-Luc Seipke and Matt Espineli walk through each of the gunner's three skill trees to detail which are the best.
Though it's her worst skill tree, it's worth unlocking at least one ability in Shield of Retribution: Bubble Shield. As the name of this ability implies, it provides Iron Bear with a forcefield--increasing the amount of punishment it can take before deactivating. From there, it's advised that you begin investing in one of the other trees.
If you're looking for firepower, the Bottomless Mags is the tree you want to put points into, which ultimately transforms Iron Bear into a mixture of Titanfall 2's Legion and Scorch. The tree provides the option of adding a minigun, manned turret, flamethrower, ice cannon, or thermite mine launcher to Iron Bear while increasing Moze's speed while shooting firearms. If, however, you're looking for a more precise yet explosive loadout, the Demolition Woman tree is the one to go for, which shapes Iron Bear to behave more like Titanfall 2's Tone. This tree adds a grenade launcher and homing missiles to Iron Bear while increasing the damage Moze does with grenades.
If summoning a giant death machine to do all the fighting doesn't sound like a good fit for you, consider looking at one of our other Borderlands 3 character guides, which are listed below.
