Best New Amazon Prime Video Releases: Movies And TV Shows To Watch In November 2018

From Amazon Prime original series like Homecoming to films like Kick-Ass, here are our top picks for the best new Amazon Prime Video movies and TV shows to watch in November!

The nights are drawing in, but as we head towards winter, there's plenty of new TV and movie content hitting Amazon Prime during November 2018. Steven Spielberg's Adventures of Tintin is one of the big movies making its debut on the service. Based on the much-loved series of comic strips by Belgian artist Hergé, it's a motion-captured 3D animated movie that stars Jamie Bell as the intrepid reporter Tintin, with support from Andy Serkis, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost. There are serious shades of Indiana Jones here, and fans of both the Tintin books and Spielberg's family movies will love it.

There's also classic fantasy action in the shape of Excalibur, director John Boorman's lavish retelling of the King Arthur legend. The movie was a commercial failure when released in 1981, but it holds up very well, and has a star-studded cast that includes Helen Mirren, Patrick Stewart, and Gabriel Byrne. For a more recent watch, check out Kick-Ass, the movie adaptation of Mark Miller's acclaimed comic book, about a teen superhero. It's violent, foul-mouthed, and massive unwholesome fun.

On the TV side of things, the thriller Homecoming makes its debut. The show stars Julia Roberts as a former caseworker of a facility who helped soldiers re-adjust to normal life, who discovers some dark secrets about her past. It's directed by Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail, and looks like a similarly gripping and intriguing mystery. There's also real-life thrills in The Gymkhana Files, which goes behind the scenes of Ken Block's hugely popular, insane, tire-shredding viral video series, plus the intriguing Indian crime thriller Mirzapur.
