Become The Ewok - Star Wars Battlefront 2 Gameplay

Star Wars Battlefront 2 rolls out a limited time game mode called Night On Endor, where Storm trooper defend themselves from an onslaught of Ewoks and try to survive the night.

The Night on Endor update for Star Wars Battlefront 2 is now live, bringing with it an updated microtransaction system as well as a limited-time "Ewok Hunt" mode. Despite the name, though, the Ewoks are the real terror here, multiplying at an alarming rate and threatening to overwhelm the hapless imperial troopers.

The new asymmetric mode pits a team of Ewoks against a team of Stormtroopers. The Ewoks are attempting to eliminate the troopers, who are just waiting for a ride back home. Ewoks are equipped with spears and other simple instruments while the troopers have superior firepower and flashlights to see through the darkness. But, the Ewoks have numbers on their side, as every kill the Ewoks rack up adds another bloodthirsty teddy bear to their ranks. If the Ewoks defeat all the Stormtroopers before time is up, they win. The imperials win if they simply manage to hold out. The mode is only available for a limited time, but DICE hasn't given an end-date yet.

This update also brings back Crystals, the premium currency that was hastily pulled amid backlash from fans. Under the new system, Crystals can only be used to unlock cosmetic Appearances, like the new Endor Han and Endor Leia. But if you'd rather earn them for free, those Appearances can be bought for in-game credits too. Star Cards remain eliminated completely, after a major progression revamp. With Anthem on the horizon, EA is promising that it's learned its lesson on microtransactions.
