Pause on 00:16 hahahah
What reminds me or is similar to Wolfenstein? Sniper Elite v2 & the upcoming Sniper Elite 3.
A different kind of game though.
In Sniper Elite v2, you can incapacitate an enemy which acts as bait to draw another enemy to him to kill him. You can set mines by dead or incapacitated enemies--you run away drawing a bunch of enemies your way and they blow up when running over their fellow soldiers.
You can use trip wire as a safeguard or blow up enemies after you lure them your way.
The upcoming Sniper Elite v3 coming out on July 1 looks even better.
Great Show! I love it!
Interesting version of a mohawk. It works!
I like Lisa. She's cute, she knows her stuff, and uses her voice perfectly. Metro is a great series. The New Order I haven't played it yet, but I intend to. Different kind of games though. Metro is a lot more opressive.
yeah timesplitters was the best custom map and bot editing alot of epic characters in multiplayer to choose from and the gameplay was awesome down to sound effects, visuals of satisfying gore and just the same reason as goldeneye 007 will remain the best bond game possibly forever which follows the same formula as this game lets face it developers need to realize that every single detail and the longetivity of a game matters 10 hour games arent going to do it forever we need 60 hour games and up and include full game and then add dlc or better yet add free dlc for a few months of free extra content sidestories, missions, multiplayer enhancers, characters, guns and gadgets, make an after story where the main character then has extra missions or things to do add extra cities or places to explore with side villains quests to find legendary weapons maybey even xp mode for more customization and leveling and if the game were to have updates of free dlc for a year it would remain a must buy for everyone people wouldnt mind paying 59.99 or so for it as long as it would remain a quality game they would have an excuse as to why the price remains so for a long while instead of sucking our wallets dry of sometimes bad dlc we may think may be awesome but sometimes is not!
Four for four.
The last Wolfenstein really didn't do it for me. I thought it was mediocre and a desperate attempt to reboot the franchise. Is The New Order really that much of an improvement that it can be compared to the great Half Life 2?
@PlatinumPaladin I dunno if it's as good as HL2. I hated despicable 2009 CoD clone but WTNO is just too damn cinematic. Does not require you to ads since hipfiring is 100% accurate also and regen is only partial so medpacks need to be collceted. Imo HL2 is better game but WTNO is the best AAA FPS in many years. Way better than Duke Nukem Forever (CoD clone).
Lol...I see HL2 and now.... It makes me think of Clear Skies.
Wowwww.. That Chick... She....
HAS NO ENGLISH ACCENT!!!!!
OMG! How Is this Possible????
Metro 2033 is a good idea as the developer is making an HD redo out soon
Nice list! All of these are great games
Wow, Metro.. That game is a full on Spunkgargleweewee. Full regen and forced useage of AimDownSights, lame. Atleast you remembered the health thing with Half-Life 2 though..
Vibrant, colorful interface and a purty likeable host? Good addition!
I like dishonored but it really has poor graphics - it doesn't really affect gameplay but it's just distracting and off putting in the cut scenes; the character models are cut rate
Wolfenstein on PS4 is gorgeous and fun. And nothin beats killing Nazis.
@dmblum1799 Every now and then there is a clueless user like dmblum1799 that wanders in with words like "poor graphics". Dishonored's graphics were perfect in the sense of consistency. The character models weren't realistic on purpose, it was just the art style.
What the hell do you want anyways with graphics? Compared to other games released the same year, dishonored looked awesome.
@dmblum1799 It's called an art style. It's good that every game developer isn't going for that realistic look, but instead try nice art styles like Dishonored and Borderlands do.
i'd go with serious sam series because its one of the classic FPS its all about shooting the bad guy and killing much as you can...
@some1good2 I'd recommend gettin classic doom with brutal mod. Oh, yeah... If you want to shoot bad guys and watch them scream...
I have played all 3 of them. I'll be getting The New Order as soon as it's discounted.
I enjoyed HL2 but ultimately think that it's become overrated. Don't get me wrong; it's a great FPS. That said, it's not the god of shooters people make it out to be.
Its cosidered the best shooter by many because there aren't many games (none IMO) that are as atmospheric, well-designed and well paced as Half-Life.
Stalker and No One Lives Forever come close in many cases.
The thing is that it is a great FPS, and when you factor in it is almost 10 years old, and has aged quite well You should be able to see some of the reasons people hold it in such high regard. Is it the best FPS ever made? No, but it is one of the best.
@xBinary01111000 It was the god of shooters at it's time.
It's not overrated really. It's because of the bar being raised higher and higher over the years since HL2 that it's no wonder some people think it's overrated, it's an aged game being 10 years old after all.
This list is like a best-of for shooters.. I might have to give the new Wolfenstein a try.
Dishonored isn't a shooter and Metro Last Light's primary premise isn't shooting.
flame dear flame
@suppaphly42 want a new ember?
I've never played HL2 cause I never had a PC that was fast enough. Now that I finally do, I think this convinced me to get out and buy the original and all the Episodes.
But I wish I could play Metro Last Light. Let's just say my PC would display it like a slideshow.
I hate the intro music to this show.
@GLOK1132 when the ads stop click on 11 seconds and its gone.
@GLOK1132 Write a new one, send it in.
If you havent played Half-Life 2 yet, you dont deserve to have hands.
Man the stealth in Wolfenstein is a child play compared to the stealth in any other game. Even in Harry Potter The Philosophers Stone was harder to sneak around Filch and his cat,
Does Lisa trip and fall face first into a pile of baby powder before each recording?
@havesumnuts Orr she is fair skinned. You know just as likely.
I like the idea of the show, but I'm not convinced of what it's been delivering. The three similar games are too well known, and most likely everyone has played them, or at least knows about them. Alternatively, the similarities Lisa mentions are too superficial, and didn't reveal aspects of the games I wasn't aware of ("both games have perks" or "both games deal with alternative histories" are a bit trite).
I don't want to sound to critical of the show. I just really like the concept and would love for it to be developed further.
@Ailurusf How can you improve if no one gives you criticism? It is just about being polite about how you give the criticism.
@Ailurusf I was thinking the exact same thing as I watched this. Maybe she could through in a curveball/wildcard suggestion each week that's a little more unknown?
@Ailurusf This episode showed some known games, but the previous episodes show games I've never heard of, or have ignored but finally picked up. Dragon's Dogma being an example.
@QuadDamage85 @Ailurusf The games that are known and are not known? Observational bias. There are some games some people never heard of. Something is in for everyone. Don't assume everybody knows as much about games as you do. I would bet a lot of people don't know about Dishonored. It was quietly released and disappeared quietly.
She failed to mention Singularity, which has a very similar feel to Wolfentstein:TNO.
@Tommy7600 Yeah Timeshift is a good game, Singularity is just a shitty rip off by Activision from it.
@Tommy7600 Sadly a very forgotten, and under-rated game. I've always thought that if Wolfenstein and Metro had a baby it would be Singularity.
she is still hot and I want her at my birthday party.
