I'm sure any game is good with such a gorgeous lady...damn
Just thought I would mention Trine 2 as well.

@robertand71: Oh man I wanted to make this a longer list with Trine 2 and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, I might have a few regrets....
Dead Nation? LBP of course
Why americans say Laura when clearly its Lara ????
@datski: because 'murica
Little Big Planet, FIFA and Minecraft. These are the only games I play when I have friends over. Fun times. We need more couch coop games :(
COUCH co-op ...on PC, really?
@locoto: steam streaming, steam machines? just plug your PC into the TV....
@locoto: My laptop has a HDMI socket (among several other less used ones) That's how I played Portal 2's multiplayer... Also PC allows you to use whatever controller each person is most comfortable with, I used a ps3 controller.
@locoto: steam inhome streaming. my laptop now is a console.
@stillstillstill@locoto: And the Steam machines which come out later this year.
i used to play a lot of these with my old roommate. these days, playing online with people i know offline is just as fun as couch gaming. lunch breach castle crashers with steam voip. after work cs:go with four co-workers.
ona: sometimes multiplayer introduces you to perfect running mates. i ran bl2 solo the first day and then this group joined. one player just complimented my style and i his, so much so, that we ran co-op for months most evenings after work.
Borderlands 2 is agreat game, but terrible split screen game
Old school but remember back in the day Double dragon, Golden axe and TMNT coop modes were amazing!

@chris120379: Final Fight in arcades
@chris120379: Remember Silkworm?
Golden Axe and Forgotten Worlds are on my list.
Just a few additions. Perfect Dark Co-Op campaign. Monaco: Whats Yours Is Mine. Spelunky. Streets of Rage. Splinter Cell (cant remember which one it was).
Monaco is great. Missing in The list for sure
Don't forget Mass Effect 3 multiplayer! Granted, that's a co-op game that requires 1 console per player, so it isn't exactly a couch gaming, but it is certainly one of the better co-op games that I've played. Despite the trouble with the Vanguard and some enemies with sync-kills, it's a blast to play, and I've spent many hours in ME3 co-op with friends.
This list brings back good memories. I played loads of Castle Crashers back in college with my roommates, some time with Gears 2, too many hours with Borderlands 2 co-op, and lots of co-op Halo years back. Sadly, I never had friends who were interested much in the Lego games, so I missed that train, and I missed the Left 4 Dead train too.
I want to try to get some friends together for L4D2 now.
Kirby Return to Dream Land, New Super Mario Bros Wii, House of the Dead Overkill, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Hyrule Warriors, Nintendo Land, Lego Marvel, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, New Super Mario Bros U, Pikmin 3, Minecraft, Dragons Crown, Little Big Planet, HOW THE FACK DID YOU MISS RATCHET AND CLANK???
Disappointed with nr 1. :(
Why can't you post the video with the written text of it below? This video is 11 minutes long, and it would take me way less time to read it.
Helldivers looks set to mess up that list by possibly inserting itself quite high up. I wish they'd hurry it up.
edit time window expired >.>
i think one of my favorite couch co-op games in recent memory is dragon's crown. love that game.
@BrunoBRS: Dragon's Crown sould defintely have been on that list.
my "local friends" are so into competitive games, i can't recall the last time i played couch co-op with them. probably 3D world back when it came out.
Not a bad list at all, really, except for shockin' in a bad way 'resident evil' 5.
If I did a list like this though, I'd have to put Ratchet Gladiator / Deadlocked, and Timesplitters 2 & Future Perfect in it. Gears of War and Halo Combat Evolved are great games for co-op.
