Neat game based off the show and a huge step up from Hollywood Arts Debut.

Victorious: Taking the Lead for Nintendo DS is a neat rhythm game from D3 Publisher. First off, let's talk graphics. They are about the same as Hollywood Arts Debut but look a bit more polished. As for controls, everything is done with the Touch Screen. Basically, you wait for the CPU to dance then copy them by swiping in the direction the arrow. There are some instances where you have to tap a circle on the screen as well. There are also a few mini games to play in story mode that are different from dancing such as Rex talking to the Northridge Girls and Stage Fighting. The game has four difficulty options: Easy, Medium, Hard and Insane so you can challenge yourself. The huge plus to the game is that you can play as characters from the show. In this version of "Taking the Lead", you can play as Tori or Jade. Both story modes are almost identical albeit a few lines of dialogue are swapped around or reworded. the only annoying section in the game is, as mentioned earlier, having Rex talk to the Northridge Girls. It's annoying because a) it goes on WAY longer than it should, b) you can't mess up at all to get 5 stars, and c) the dialogue is irritating to listen to because basically the girls just say some gibberish and Rex just says "yeah" and that's it. That's all you listen to for that entire chapter. The game also let's you decorate your save file which is represented by a locker. and also unlock outfits for Tori and Jade. Overall, not a bad game and definitely worth picking up if you enjoy rhythm games or are a fan of Victorious.
