Wonderful Tactical Rpg fun that is another great addition to the series.

Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume is a tactical rpg with a deep story of vengeance and self confliction. Anyone familiar with the Valkyrie Profile Series will be happy to pick up this wonderful nintendo ds exclusive addition. You play is Will; a young mercenary who is angry at the Valkyrie for taking away his father after he died on a battlefield when he was still a child. Filled with rage and a lust for vengeance even in his older years, Will longed for the day when he could exact sweet revenge on the Battle Maiden. During a mission for money Will faces death after saving his best friend. Even as the life started to leave him, Will continued to curse the Valkyrie. As a result, Hel, the queen of the Netherworld hears his words of hatred and grants him dark powers that would help him to take his revenge. But nothing is without a price, in order to access the dark powers, Will must sacrifice an ally to which he holds dear. And as the blood of the innocent is spilled, Will would gain the power he needs to face the Valkyrie head on. Now during the game, initially you will have to sacrifice Will's best friend and gain your first dark power. However, throughout the game, before you start a battle, you will be opted to wrought a certain amount of sin every battle, or choose to sacrifice an ally. Of course choosing the way of the dark lord does give you some sweet benefits but gives you the bad ending. Choosing to be the matyr however, puts you on Lady Hel's bad side and leaves you to fight some of her dark minions in every battle, but should you stick it out, and choose not to sacrifice any of your dear comrades, you unlock the A ending, which everyone should strive to get.
The Good: Decent In Battle Voices, An Awesome Story of inner turmoil and vengeance and decent graphics. Breathtaking cg cut scenes.
The Bad: Relatively Short, Sprites may take some getting used to.
