Great Story, Great Flip to the normal Turn Based Strategy, Great Game Overall

I played this game initially on demo version and was excited by the spin on turn base strategy that it provided. You no longer feel as though you are some dislocated individual moving the pawns across a 2D chess board and instead you are drawn into the character you have selected and forced to move them all around the board and fight with them. Thats why I found innovative to be the best adjective to describe the over all game. The spin on WW2 is also nice to see since it was not just a generic copy of the real life situation and the story still has a great deal of substance of its own. I did have some problems with the learning curve or lack there of. You go from dominating to very difficult missions instantly. The equipment is more of a hassle than a have to. You can never tell what equipment you are going to need in a fight till you are already in the fight. You will go into a fight get the brief and be told oh by the way hope you brought your flame throwers instead of machine guns this time. There where also more than a few inconsistencies in the story in the game that you will notice. I can say that with out question I look forward to another instalment and really hope it becomes a series. I can also say that I hope they take what worked in this title and develop on it and then expand on the areas where it came up short such as the weak training development for all your characters. When you go into training you train all your members of a particular class without them ever touching the battlefield. The equipment management must be completely revamped. In the end though the fantastic world and story that comes to life as you play through the game combined with the fun battlestyle makes this a wonderful game in an era where they are few and far between. This is a must have for any turn based strategy RPG gamer.
