Gamespot's Ryan Davis gave a totally unrealistic review score of 6.9. For a portable game, Untold Legends is amazing!

If you are going to compare a PSP game to home consule titles that's great, knock yourself out. However, don't write a review based on that premise-- It just is ridiculous. Untold Legends is amazing considering you can play it anywhere, anytime. It has all the features of a solid RPG with some elements that do actually rival some consule titles...quite the feat! Here some examples:

The dialogue is realistic and appropriate! If I had a dollar for every RPG that I could say that for-- I'd have like five bucks.

The sound effects are simply awsome. They really add a lot to the game.

The weapons and armor keep you coming back for more. The equipment looks great both on the character and on inventory screens, and you can't just hoard gold and buy the best weapon at the third level.

The portrait artwork is incredible! They make good use of it as well.

Character progression is well paced. You will constantly feel challanged and the ability upgrades are subtle, yet noticeable.

Yes, it is kind of generic, but is this really the platform to design a groundbreaking RPG?-- No. It is technically a little shaky at times, but it is easily overlooked. The music is on the lame side, oh well. The story is rather light, but you will find yourself nonetheless engrossed. In the end, Untold legends is better than expected and well worth the money. I'm not sure why Ryan Davis is hazing this game-- He maybe needs to take a step back and think PSP...
