This standalone expansion to the Uncharted series makes a great touch with rich detail graphics and a unique story

Uncharted 4 was my favourite game for 2016 including Game of the Year, with it being the last game in the Uncharted series did make me wonder what Naughty Dog will develop next. The series feels more like you are watching a good action-adventure movie having a mix of Indiana Jones and National Treasure put together. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy however, is a standalone expansion to the Uncharted series without Nathan Drake being the main protagonist with it feeling more like a spin-off title The Lost Legacy does a good job keeping both the story and action-adventure together.

Story takes place after Uncharted 4 where Chloe Frazer who seeks to recover an ancient Indian artefact called the golden Tusk of Ganesh, she enlists gun-for-hire Nadine Ross to help retrieve the artefact and going on an adventure through the mountains of India and the possibility on a civil war breaking out both Chloe and Nadine need to work together before a ruthless warmonger gets his hands on the Tusk of Ganesh.

Playing in a third-person perspective the controls feel the same using the same weapons as well such as your standard pistol gun your average shotgun. Most of the gameplay controls feel the same including combat while fighting enemies but you can also use stealth to take out your enemies quietly without anyone making a sound. If you've played the past Uncharted games the controls do feel the same so getting use to the controls are very straight forward most of the gameplay mechanics from Uncharted 4 make a return including the grappling hook, another new feature added in is where Chloe can use her hair pick to open locks for certain crates which just requires you to use the left analog stick to move the lock around to unlock the lock. The puzzles throughout The Lost Legacy make a return all the puzzles requiring a little thinking as well if you want to press forward, but some of the puzzles can be a bit of challenge which makes the game quite enjoyable.

Just like past games collecting all trophies is a challenge for some and picking up treasure through various chapters, but its multiplayer is still addictive and very rewarding for its players and fans alike which includes both Survival Mode and Multiplayer modes from Uncharted 4 are in The Lost Legacy but with content tied with The Lost Legacy.

The graphics and visuals still look impressive as Uncharted 4 was you can easily get lost in one of the chapters and just explore around the area either finding treasure which is pretty much hidden throughout that area alone. You could tell Naughty Dog really went in every detail when it came to settings, environments, landscapes and character animation. Another nice little touch added in during gameplay when explore parts of India if you find a good location Chloe can use her phone to take photos and looking at the photo she took looks realistic and identical to the locations itself in the game.

Just like Uncharted 4 it's hard trying to put the game down but would admit that The Lost Legacy might not be perfect as the past games you can easily clearing the game under six hours or more depending on the difficulty setting you plan to play it on for a standalone title it's still worth checking out especially if you’re a fan of the series
